Since there was no other volunteers, I had the room to myself and I also had surf classes with Ashan, that was definitely the highlight! Im glad that I had the chance of staying in the guest house. This was my first ever Worldpackers experience! My goal before arriving at the guest house was to learn how to surf and meet locals and other travelers, and I was blessed enough to have those goals fulfilled here. The entire the guest house staff are incredibly hard working people whom I have so much respect for. the guest house is in an amazing location in Sri Lanka with being so close to the beach and delicious restaurants. The only downside to that is its right off a main road so it can be noisy from all the traffic. Overall, if your looking to surf or learn and meet amazing people, this is the place:)

I had a great time volunteering at the guest house, I really enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable from the start. The work was as agreed and we had plenty of free time to explore the town and surroundings. Working with the locals was a lot of fun and a great experience. The atmposphere was very warm and familiar, and the accomodation was cozy and comfortable. We were able to use the surfboards and even join the surflessons if we wanted, which was a big Highlight. I met amazing people and made great new friends. Overall I highly recommend this volunteering!

I've had the time of my life at the guest house! Paula and Rudolfo are the kindest hosts and truly make you feel like part of a big family. My daily tasks were preparing breakfast for the guests and helping a bit with housekeeping. I also got to use their surfboards whenever I wanted, and they motivated me to progress my surfing heaps. The whole team at the guest house is incredible. I've spent countless hours laughing with Ashan, Kauchi and Chamil — I'll really miss being around them every day 🥲 Thank you for making this place feel like home ❤️

If I could, I'd give the guest house 10 stars! From day one, I felt at home. Paula and Rudolfo aren't just great hosts – they make you feel like family (just with more surfboards in the backyard). Our volunteer experience at the guest house was unique. the guest house-Team is working very hard Still they were caring and very supportive trough our whole stay at the Guest-House, especially Paula. The work we did was mostly helping as kitchen hands at the breakfast, and checking the clients rooms. Most of the time we started at 7:30 am and finished the work around 2:30/3pm. We appreciated participating in some surflessons. The room we stayed in was very comfortable - it was very cozy and with a private bathroom. To use the kitchen was great and the atmosphere at the guest house was very authentic. Thank you

The guest house was my first experience volunteering and the only downside of that is, that I don't think any other experience will ever come close to how amazing my time here was! The room we stayed at was beautiful, the people were so welcoming and kind and even tho I only stayed for a weeks (wish I would've stayed longer) the guest house truly feels like family. The work was definitely doable for what you get in return. I'm gonna miss it so much and can recommend this experience to everyone!

The guest house is a very special place. Immediately after arriving, I felt so welcomed into a family. It really did feel like a home away from home! I was able to learn how to surf, meet locals, practice Spanish, and more! I volunteered for 2 weeks, and I wish I could've stayed longer! The work is simple, and the accommodation is just beautiful! The owners are so kind, and they make dinner each night for the volunteers! I would highly recommended this Worldpackers because it was so great, and Sri Lanka is just incredible!! Volunteering at the guest house was absolutely amazing! Paula, Rodolfo, the whole team and the other volunteers made me feel so welcome and after volunteering there for one month it feels like a home away from home for me. The work was easy and I could learn a lot of new things. Shifts are in the morning (mainly 7:30am - max. 1:30pm) which gives you plenty of time to explore the area after work. I met so many wonderful people and could really enjoy my time there, also because the room in which I was staying was very comfortable (A/C, clean, etc). I'm very grateful for my time and can recommend it 100%!
