I only have to thank everyone for everything and everyone… I volunteered at the Lagoa unit, I was warmly welcomed by the volunteers and by Zair (the host). I stayed in the cleaning and reception roles, with freedom to ask all the questions whenever needed. Communication from everyone was excellent! Everyone always trying to help each other. I arrived in the off-season, so the activity was very calm. But during some moments of high occupancy they were incredible, days full of adventures and fun! Thank you Lobitos!!!

The experience at the hostel was great!! ❤️ The volunteer's work is completely organized, the hostel and the volunteers' room are spotless in cleanliness, the hostel is very well located (markets, pharmacy, knick-knack shop, etc.). There, I connected with people from all over the world and could practice my languages. The permanent staff, Marcela and Patrick, are amazing people whom I had the honor to work with! I highly recommend it and I hope to return!

My first experience! They made me feel at home from the beginning.
They gave me flexibility with the schedules so I could work outside the hostel, and they helped me with everything they could. I value that a lot.
The work is really calm, the tasks are clear and everything is very well organized, plus they are always available for whatever you need. The only thing I would improve is to put curtains for the beds in the volunteers' room; it's good to have a little privacy.
Without a doubt, it's a place I will always have in my heart, along with the incredible people I was able to meet there

After finishing my first experience, I went to São Paulo for a few days, and fortunately, I was able to return to the hostel. The hostel is well located, with easy access to transportation and the market; the house also has a great setup, with coworking and a good area for socializing. All arrangements were respected; I volunteered at the reception, I practiced English a lot and had a great experience. The hostel offers activities for everyone to interact, inviting guests and volunteers for hiking, the beach, parties... I thank Zair once again for the opportunity, it was a pleasure to collaborate with you!!!

The hostel is one of the best hostels I’ve ever known! The setup is great, with spaces to socialize and also to have moments of tranquility (even more in the off-season). The kitchen is well equipped, the coworking helps a lot for those who also work remotely, and the location, in the heart of the hostel, is amazing. The team (long-time volunteers, management, and owners) is welcoming, approachable, and always open to dialogue. The cultural exchange with guests from different parts of Brazil and from around the world makes the experience even more special. I highly recommend!

I stayed a little over a month at Lagoa's hostel and I would have loved to stay longer, but my schedule didn't permit it. The hostel's facilities and location are excellent. Work hours were respected and the tasks were explained in detail on the first day of work. Zair welcomed me at the hostel; she was always available and the communication with her was very good. The hostel is mostly made up of volunteers, and the experience of sharing with them was incredibly positive. I definitely felt at home and I will return in the future 😊
