Stay in a private guest wing on a peaceful 5-acre property in Highvale, surrounded by mountain views, nature, and a calm family atmosphere. We welcome pairs of helpers who enjoy outdoor tasks, clear communication, and a mix of independent and shared projects. You’ll also share space with 3 dogs and have a great base for exploring Samford, Brisbane, and South East Queensland.
20 hours of help per week
Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
2 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

We host one couple at a time in our private guest wing on a peaceful 5‑acre property in Highvale. You’ll have your own self‑contained space and a calm family environment with plenty of independence. We provide pantry basics, and shared dinners a 3 nights a week. Helpers keep the guest wing tidy and give it a weekly clean; you manage your own laundry while we take care of washing household linens when you change them weekly. Occasionally, when family visit for a few days, helpers share our guest‑wing facilities. Comfort with dogs is important, as our three friendly dogs are part of daily life. Weekly planning helps you organise your time freely while exploring Samford, Brisbane and the surrounding region.
Our property is beautifully maintained, with a resort‑size pool, full tennis court, and peaceful gardens. Our Spoodle, Zeke, is part of daily life and loves gentle company. We primarily ask for help with garden and grounds maintenance, planned weekly so you can organise your time freely while exploring Samford, Brisbane and the surrounding region.
The guest house includes a second bedroom that is occasionally used by visiting family for short stays. During these times, you continue to enjoy full use of the guest house facilities. Couples who appreciate nature, calm surroundings, and a high standard of accommodation tend to thrive here.
Most activities involve outdoor work: weeding, trimming, clearing paths, tidying garden beds, basic maintenance, and helping with the orchard, herb and vegetable garden. There may also be some cleaning of outdoor living areas such as the pool deck, patio or BBQ spaces. Occasionally there may be indoor tasks like cleaning or organising. Helpers contribute around 20 hours per week per person, usually over 4–5 days. We plan tasks weekly so you know what’s ahead and can balance your work with your own routines, study or exploring the area. Clear communication and reliability matter to us.
We value a calm, respectful and tidy home. Helpers are expected to keep the guest wing clean and give it a weekly tidy and refresh. You are responsible for your own personal laundry using the laundry in the guest wing; we take care of washing household linens when you change them weekly. Comfort with dogs is essential, as our three friendly dogs are part of daily life. For the wellbeing of everyone in the home, we do not allow smoking, vaping, drugs or drunk behaviour on the property. Clear communication and reliability help ensure a positive experience for all.
