My experience was good. The tasks align with what we agreed, but you need to be efficient to complete them in time; The workload can be heavy but maneageable if you stay organized. It took me a few days to adapt and I got very tired at first. The family is kind and communication is easy if you also take initiative. The food was good (I'm veggie and the basics were covered) Cleaning the rooms can be tough, specially when there are less than 4 volunteers (in my opinion should be the minimum) The place is a dream come true. I am very grateful with Rozita, Danjelito and Aleksander <3

Had a lovely experience at the guest house, with the most kind, welcoming hosts - thank you Aleksander & Rozie for all the care, top notch food (3 meals a day - thank you Daniel!), drinks (having a couple here and there and bringing some to the river with us too), kayaks (whenever we wanted) and great hospitality. We cleaned 3 hrs in the morning (less if we were fast), then I spent my remaining 2.5 hrs ironing sheets with the machine (others did dinner/lunch service). I tracked my own hours and they were respected by the hosts. Will truly miss the family dinners, nature and gorgeous views ♥️

I don't recommend going there to anyone. If you go there, you won't want to leave. The work is simple and responsible, working with the hosts is easy, simple and fun, and the food is Delicious. Beautiful nature, silence and peace that can be felt not only in the outside world but also within y Ourselves. The hosts are hospitable, caring and family-oriented. I know what I'm talking about. I broke five plates there, and they didn't even beat me up)) Although maybe they don't know about it yet)

My first WorldPackers experience. What I got was above and beyond any expectations. Alek, Rosie, Daniel, Ndue, and the entire family are the most genuine and hospitable individuals I've met in a very long time, from day one you're treated like family. The food provided is excellent, 3 big meals a day, the newly finished sleeping dorm was a bonus and the beds comfortable. Alek is a very direct and fair person. When something needs to be addressed he will, and expects you do the same in return which leads to a trustful environment. The hours are fair and easily achievable if you're productive.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the guest house. I spent a few hours in the morning turning over rooms for new guests. Then helped in the restaurant/kitchen in the evenings. I really enjoyed swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking and playing cards in my free time. I also enjoyed baking and shared mealtimes with all the hosts and volunteers. Aleks, Rozi and Dani were incredibly kind and welcoming to me. They really made me feel comfortable and I will miss them lots! I recommend volunteering here, especially if you enjoy being outdoors and in nature, the surrounding area is beautiful!

My stay at the guest house was wonderful! The host family- Aleks, Rozi, and Dan were kind, loving and made me feel part of their family. The work was manageable- a few hours in the morning for cleaning rooms, and an hour in the evening for doing the dishes. They are easy to talk to and communicate with if you need anything. They were helpful in helping me get to my next destination and making sure I was safe. The food they cook is great. During the day I enjoyed taking the paddle board and spending a few hours exploring the lake. The environment is truly peaceful I recommend this experience!

I really enjoyed my experience at the guest house. The place was beautiful and it was really cool getting to explore this little corner of the world on the kayaks. I enjoyed the family feel and eating all the meals together, both Daniel and Rozi's food was amazing - we were honestly so well fed (Rozi's apple and walnut cake in particular lives rent free in my mind). In the first days I found it challenging due to little to no induction, but this is something that was talked about and after this it was smooth sailing and work hours were easier to stick to by knowing the process and routine. Thank you!

I was excited for my time at the guest house however it was sadly far from expected and as a result I left early - Main Issue for me was the Virus. There is a virus that is present but not disclosed to volunteers prior to arrival. When I got very sick it was the fellow volunteers who told me about how they had all been sick as well as guests & them who looked after me not the staff - Hours worked were consistently more than the agreed 6hr daily and were closer to 8hr - Sleeping situation was in the laundry room and due to confined spaces, volunteers were not allowed to unpack bags and belongings

Hi Jordan,
A couple of days prior to your arrival the property was disinfected so you could have the virus prior to coming here or not we can-t be sure about that. When you got sick both me and my sister took care of you. You didn-t do more than the 6 hours and normally you did less even though you tried to sell it for more. And not for once you did complain which you could as we-re not difficult to talk. It`s good to be truthful.

Unforgettable!😊 I enjoyed swimming, sunbeds, kayaking, and the most welcoming and friendly hosts. There’s 1 bathroom shared for all volunteers (and guests), so it was stressful. Also, I felt uneasy knowing the guests would get sick and not saying anything… we don’t know about their health conditions. No medicine on site; the nearest port is 30+ mins by 🚤 in case of emergency. One of the volunteers was down bad for days. I hope they’re able to overcome this challenge soon! Feel free to ask Qs

Hi Sofia,
Coincidentally the property was getting disinfected at the same time you arrived and you saw it yourself. Most of volunteers or guests didn`t get sick but it-s okay it-s permitted to lie in a review no problem. You could say anything to guests as nobody stopped you and you pretty well did and there are medicine in the property as you pretty well know but it`s okay, as I said it`s permitted to lie in a review.

We had a great time volunteering at the guest house! We were helping with getting the rooms ready in the morning, dishes, serving meals and ironing. All in all the task were manageable and pretty straightforward. The Location itself is just absolutely stunning and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and exploring the surrounding area in our free time. Alex, Rozi and Dani are incredibly kind, welcoming and understanding and made us feel very comfortable. It did get a bit busy when we were there and we did end up helping out a bit more on some days than initially thought. Overall an amazing experience!
