The volunteering itself is fine, but the experience ended up being quite uncomfortable due to the lack of boundaries and clarity. The host constantly mixes his personal projects with volunteering and expects favors from the heart.
There were changes to the agreements, and situations that caused discomfort among volunteers.
I also perceived paternalistic attitudes and different treatment according to the volunteers' nationality.
I would not recommend this volunteering if you are looking for clear boundaries, professionalism, and transparent agreements.

El voluntariado empezó muy bien, con mucha cultura local y entusiasmo por concretar ideas. Con el tiempo surgieron incomodidades: nos pedían “favores” fuera del horario y tareas pactadas y cosas por el estilo que no respetaban lo que dice en WP. Al final, tuvimos un conflicto con el director: por llegar tarde no nos abrió y dormimos en la calle, con nuestras cosas (y dinero) adentro. La idea del voluntariado es buena, pero falta soltar egos y respetar lo pactado en Worldpackers. Lo compartido con otros voluntarios fue excelente.

From the start you have been supported and given everything you needed, I even offered you affection with my family and we gave more than what was agreed on Worldpackers. I believe there was an excess on your part and you did not respect a home when trying to enter in the early hours of the morning; fun and sharing have a schedule, and above all, respecting hospitality is key anywhere in the world.
