One of my best experiences! The place is very nice and perfect for watching the northern lights. Although it's a small community, there are nearby parks and islands for walking. Plus, the accommodation is right next to a lake, which adds a special charm. You can explore both nature and local culture here. I'll be glad to go back in the near future.

The actual host is only somewhat connected to the project, usually just telling a local coordinator what needs to be done. This coordinator fails to communicate and lacks respect for volunteers, while also displaying inappropriate behavior. Apart from this, work hours are not respected at all, no matter what agreements are made, and off-days are usually shunned, so you're expected to work 24/7 and on-call. the host itself is fairly nice, close to nature, but also remote, so it's difficult to make plans without getting the coordinator involved.

Christoph, we are sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. You were part of the same group as Dara, where even three hours of daily work was often not completed. We had several conversations with you about how to improve the situation, but you consistently wanted to do less than the other volunteers, so it is not correct to say that work hours were not respected. We regret the mismatch and wish you the best in your future volunteering.

A s a female traveler, I felt unsafe and disrespected during my stay. The volunteers coordinator's (male, 70 y/o) inappropriate behavior made me uncomfortable, and the lack of communication from the host left me and fellow volunteers unsure about everything. The host threatening with “no more food” while we were performing physically demanding tasks far from what was agreed upon only added to my distress. This experience left me feeling disrespected and vulnerable, and I hope future volunteers, especially women, are met with better communication, respect, and safety measures.

Dara, we are sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. However, together with two other volunteers you formed a separate group and often worked less than three hours a day, which made it difficult to keep things fair for everyone. Regarding the coordinator, it was you who visited his apartment in the evenings to ask for free drinks, so we feel your description is not accurate. We regret the mismatch and wish you the best in your future volunteering.

My volunteer experience in Arvidsjaur for a month was very positive and enriching. Beyond the tasks carried out, what really made the difference was the deep vision on how to build a better society, based on respect, cooperation and care for people and the environment.
It was an experience that allowed me to reflect, learn and grow personally. I especially highlight the warmth and generosity of Gonzalo, who made me feel welcome from day one and created an atmosphere of trust and mutual learning. Thank you very much, I will be back soon ✨

I had an excellent stay as a volunteer at Moskosel, the host Lab, which I would definitely love to experience again, since this place is located in the middle of nature and after your tasks you can go out to explore. I recommend traveling as a volunteer and experiencing all the seasons, since seeing the summer beauty must surely be striking, just as seeing the beauty of the landscape in summer, autumn, and spring. Both the owner Gonçalo and John, the manager, are always available to resolve any questions. It was an incredible experience as a first-time volunteering! Infinite thanks

During the entire period, I had a transformative experience. I connected with nature, improved my English, and learned a lot from living together in a group.
John, the manager, is exceptional, friendly, helpful, and full of stories that broaden our horizons. At all times, I felt respected and welcomed.
Gonçalo is also a remarkable host, even though he is not always physically present, he is always attentive, present, and willing to resolve any situation, taking care of every volunteer with dedication.
I recommend everyone to experience this; my wish was to stay longer.
