Reception and administrative support at a seaside eco-hotel
The experience
Genn Tayrona, an eco-hotel of bungalows between the Sierra Nevada and the Caribbean, near Tayrona Park. We are a family-run project guided by Christian values and we are looking for responsible, honest, helpful, organized, resourceful, humble people who love nature and are eager to learn to support in reception, guest services, and occasionally as a waiter. We offer accommodation, meals, and the opportunity to live in a natural paradise.
What you offer
6 hours of help per day
Night Shift:
Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
Bartending:
Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Dedicated Workspace:

Requirements
Intermediate English or Fluent English
Between 21 and 55 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
You will work as comprehensive support in the hotel's daily operation, always under the direction and supervision of management.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage guest check-in and check-out
- Monitor and follow up on reservations
- Attend to guests on site and resolve their requests
- Coordinate and lead the hotel's work team
- Occasional support in food service when required
The shift is organized according to the hotel's occupancy. You will have one day off per week. Management will always be available to guide you, resolve doubts, and support you in making important decisions.
Activities & Shift
Genn Tayrona is a small hotel with 8 rooms, which makes the operation close-knit and manageable. You will work 6 hours daily distributed in split shifts, adapted to the moments of highest activity with guests (check-in, meal times, check-out). Between shifts you will have free time to rest or enjoy the surroundings. The schedules are adjusted according to the day's occupancy.
Rules
Rules:
- No drugs. No exceptions.
- No drunkenness on workdays.
- No visual disorder: work areas, bedrooms, and common spaces must always be clean and organized, including when laundry is being done.
- Theft, lying and consuming hotel supplies without authorization are intolerable.
- Flirting or insinuating yourself to guests or coworkers is prohibited.
- If you come as a couple: maximum discretion. No scenes or displays of affection in public areas or during service hours.
- Do not leave work unfinished or fail to fulfill what was agreed.
- No gossip. Do not speak ill of anyone or anything, at any time.
