Develop 2–3 versions of Spanish Tortilla (Spanish Omelette) using ingredients available in Sri Lanka.
Create a signature Paella recipe adapted to locally sourced seafood, chicken, or vegetables.
Design 3–5 refreshing mocktails that pair well with Spanish cuisine.
Train our team in preparation, presentation, food safety, and kitchen workflow.
Leave behind simple recipe cards and ingredient substitutions so the team can continue serving your creations after your stay.
Activities & Shift
We can negotiate how to work on:
One of the most rewarding parts of this project is adapting authentic Spanish recipes to Sri Lankan ingredients. Some products commonly used in Spain may be difficult or expensive to source, so we're looking for someone who can:
Find suitable local alternatives without losing the spirit of the dish.
Teach ingredient substitutions.
Balance authenticity with affordability for a small hostel restaurant.
Create recipes that our local cooks can reproduce consistently.
Together we'll develop:
Classic and creative Spanish omelets.
Authentic-style paella adapted to local ingredients.
A selection of mocktails that complement Spanish flavors.
Simple plating standards suitable for backpackers and international travelers.
Rules
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Professional chef, culinary instructor, or someone with strong experience cooking authentic Spanish food.
Patient teacher who enjoys working with people from another culture.
Creative and adaptable when traditional Spanish ingredients are unavailable.
Interested in cultural exchange and sustainable travel.
