Program Details
Our volunteer program aims to create a harmonious exchange between supporting the hostel and experiencing life on the Colombian Pacific during whale season. We hope you feel at home, contributing to the day-to-day life of the space during your shift and having the rest of the day completely free to rest, explore nature, connect with the community, or take local tours.
Activities & Shift
The required support is 4 hours per day. The tasks are simple, varied, and oriented toward the daily maintenance of the hostel:
Common areas and dining room: Clean tables, sweep, and help clear guests' dishes at breakfast or lunch.
Rooms: General support organizing spaces, such as removing used sheets or making beds.
Animals: Feed the hostel's pets/animals and ensure their well-being.
Outside of your 4-hour shift, the time is completely yours to enjoy, go out, and do activities in the area.
Rules
Mutual respect and communication: We foster a community based on empathy, mutual respect among volunteers, guests, and the hostel team. There is always an open channel to talk and resolve any concerns constructively.
Shift adherence: Punctual commitment and timeliness with your agreed 4 hours of support.
Self-care and a positive atmosphere: Take care of yourself, the space, and others, maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
