I loved my experience at the hostel. The place has a very fun vibe, the facilities are great and everything is very clean. They gave me the opportunity to be involved in the guests' entertainment, which I had never done, and it was wonderful; I loved every second. Then I stayed for breakfast, which is also super relaxed. I met wonderful people that I definitely want to see again. For anyone who wants to enjoy Rio in a great location, come to the hostel!!!!!!!

The hostel experience was very calm, the team is very easygoing, my work at the bar was quite calm (even more so because it's outside of the summer season), I highly recommend. The host Fernanda, Flávia and the manager Leandro are very open to coming by and talking and they are very easy to get along with.

The hostel from afar was one of the best experiences I’ve had. I was welcomed very well by everyone upon arrival, the place is well organized and clean. The hours are arranged as agreed and the on-site manager is always very helpful and always willing to answer questions. The place is very good for learning new languages and making new friendships, getting to know new cultures and discovering new experiences. 🤍

Experience was better than I imagined!! I was going through a period in my life that was emotionally a bit sensitive, but upon arriving at the hostel I made colleagues who in daily life made me feel in a pleasant environment. The place is very well located, close to markets, bakeries, shopping centers and the beaches of Botafogo, Flamengo and Copacabana, not to mention the lively streets and Christ the Redeemer just minutes away. Fernanda as host provided us lunches for World Cup celebrations and it was all very attractive, the shifts were respectful and there was a good distribution of tasks. In the future I plan to return; all in all 9/10.

My volunteering at the hostel was one of the best experiences of my life. I arrived to live an exchange and I leave carrying a family in my heart. Those were incredible days, full of lessons, true friendships, laughter, adventures and moments I will never forget. The hostel is much more than a hostel; it is a place of connection, warmth, and special people. I am immensely grateful to everyone who was part of this journey. The hostel was a learning and growth experience. I take away special moments in the hammock, the karaoke musical encounters, and the people I met along the way. I thank Fernanda for the shared musical moments and Luis for his warmth in receiving guests. I also greatly enjoyed the coworking and the beautiful mural that gives the space its identity. As a singer, I value places that allow sharing ideas, creating and connecting. I take away valuable lessons and gratitude from this experience. Undoubtedly one of the best experiences I've had in welcoming and partnering with a hostel. The facilities are excellent, everything very well organized and always clean! I was warmly welcomed by all the volunteers, and I built bonds that I will certainly carry with me for life! Flávia was a great partner for media development, and she provided flexibility according to my work schedule and other demands. I strongly recommend the experience at Gaia Hostel 🤍
