Hello from beautiful Cilento!
We are a family living in Agropoli, surrounded by olive trees, Mediterranean countryside and sea views.
For over 23 years, we've been running Baia di Trentova, our small five-room B&B, and Ubbìpò, our family osteria, where we prepare traditional Cilento dishes using local ingredients and family recipes.
We love welcoming people from different countries and sharing our food, traditions and everyday Italian life.
What you'll experience
You'll discover how we welcome guests, prepare homemade breakfasts and manage our small B&B. At Ubbìpò, you'll learn about traditional Cilento cooking, fresh pasta, local ingredients and the Mediterranean Diet.
Depending on the approved training or employment arrangement, you may take part in supervised activities involving guest hospitality, breakfast preparation and dining room organization.
No previous experience is needed, just curiosity, reliability and a positive attitude.
Your home during your stay
You'll stay in our family home, in our daughter's former bedroom, as she's now away at university. You'll have your own private bedroom and bathroom, while sharing some of our everyday family life.
We'll provide meals as agreed together, and you'll have the chance to enjoy homemade Italian cooking and practice the language.
Life in Cilento
Agropoli is a lovely seaside town, close to beautiful beaches, Paestum and the Cilento National Park.
You'll have two days off each week and time to explore the area, enjoy nature and discover local traditions.
We'd love to welcome someone friendly, respectful and genuinely interested in experiencing life with an Italian family!
Activities & Shift
Our daily schedule is divided into two parts: approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, for a total of 20 hours per week over 5 days.
You'll have 2 days off each week, which we'll arrange together according to the B&B and osteria schedule.
Morning – Around 2 hours
The morning is mainly dedicated to learning about the B&B's daily routine: welcoming guests, breakfast preparation, organizing spaces and understanding how we take care of our small property.
Evening – Around 2 hours
In the evening, you'll discover the atmosphere of Ubbìpò, our family osteria. This may include learning about traditional food preparation, table settings, welcoming guests and how we organize our intimate family dinners.
All practical participation will be supervised and agreed within the applicable training or employment arrangements.
We usually work together as a family, so you'll never be expected to manage the B&B or osteria on your own.
We appreciate people who are punctual, attentive, friendly and willing to learn. Previous experience is welcome but not essential.
Please keep in mind that our osteria doesn't open every evening, so the exact schedule may vary.
Rules
You'll stay in our family home, right next to the B&B, in a private bedroom that used to belong to our daughter, who has moved away for university.
You'll have your own bathroom and a comfortable space to relax and enjoy your privacy.
Since you'll be living with us, you'll also have the chance to experience real Italian family life, share meals, conversations and everyday moments together.
Food is a big part of our home! We love cooking, especially traditional Cilento dishes, fresh pasta, seasonal vegetables and homemade bread.
Meals will be provided according to our agreement. We respect your independence and personal space, and we hope you'll feel comfortable and welcome in our home.
We want you to feel at home with us, and we simply ask for the same kindness and respect that we offer you.
Since you'll be living inside our family home, respecting everyone's privacy and personal space is especially important.
Please keep your bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy, and help us keep shared spaces pleasant for everyone.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please be mindful of water, electricity and heating.
We enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evenings. No parties or loud music.
Visitors are not allowed in our home or on the property, and overnight guests are not permitted.
Enjoying a glass of wine is absolutely fine, but excessive drinking and drug use are not acceptable.
We appreciate honesty, punctuality, good communication and a positive attitude. If something isn't working or you have any concerns, please talk to us openly.
We are an easygoing family, and we hope you'll feel comfortable sharing everyday life with us while respecting our home and routines.
