At The Velvet Lodge, 16 rooms are already waiting for guests—and the 17th could be yours! We're looking for a friendly, responsible volunteer to be the human touch that makes all the difference. While our AI takes care of guest communication, you'll help keep the hotel safe, tidy, and welcoming, assist guests when needed, and support the team with daily tasks. If you enjoy hospitality and creating a warm atmosphere, we'd love to have you on board
25 hours of help per week
Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
2 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.
Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Intermediate English or Intermediate German
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Be the friendly face and caring presence of The Velvet Lodge.
Take regular strolls around the hotel to make sure everything is safe, tidy and running smoothly.
Be the go-to person in case of emergencies (don't worry, we're not expecting you to become Batman).
Give our guests a warm welcome or a helping hand whenever needed.
Support our lovely hotel team with the little things that make a big difference.
Most importantly, treat the hotel with a little love, as if it were your own home.
