Me and my friend stayed here for two weeks and had a fantastic time. Willow is a lovely host with lots of knowledge about Valladolid and a great plan for his hostel. He's enigmatic and a very relaxed host. Our main job was painting and helping around the hostel but we got to work at our own pace and had all the time we wanted to explore the surrounding area. the hostel included was great and we got to use a scooter as well. Our accommodation was clean and we felt very content. Overall was a brilliant experiance and we hope to come back one day and see Willow again

Our host cancelled our staying less than 24 hours before our start. He explained that he got his property invaded so he couldn't receive us anymore. Althought we understand these kind of situations could be out of his hand, it also put us in a complicated situation because we were already in Valladolid when he “remembered” to notice us. According to him, “he was not able to text us or cancel before thru worldpackers cause everything got stolen”, but the moment we texted him thru WhatsApp to let him now we were in Valladolid, he proceeded to cancel our stay leaving us on a limbo.

We had the chance to spend 2 months there and it was a blast !! Willo and the whole team was great, he helped us so much with everything always trying to accommodate us and make us feel like at home (he even let me leave for 2 weeks so I could travel to Oaxaca, and come back). The place is nice as well, really close to the center you can do anything by walking. I truly recommend the place, very safe, nice people, good vibes in general !!!

I had a wonderful two weeks at the hostel. Working together with travelers from all over the world was a truly valuable experience for me. Everyone was so kind, and I felt genuinely happy. The location is also perfect, close to the market and the town center. Once again, I'd like to express my gratitude to Wilo for welcoming me. It was truly the best hostel!

We really enjoyed our stay! Willo was very friendly, flexible and gave good advice. We would just have appreciated a little more visibility and equipment. Also, since there were two of us we were able to keep each other company, but if you come alone out of season, it is possible that there will be no tourists or volunteers... Also note that as a couple we were able to have our days off together but not our shifts because it is a small team so the shifts are mostly done alone. But apart from that it was great and very pleasant to stay at the Hostal and discover Valladolid and around! :)

This was my first time volunteering and traveling solo, and it was an amazing experience! Everyone was so friendly and we really immersed ourselves in the local culture! I loved Valladolid, I love the hostel, the team, and Willo! A huge thanks to Willo, a sunny and funny guy (and good buritos cooker!). I'll definitely be back! 💃

This is a perfect place where you'll feel looked after from the moment you arrive. Jorge will make you laugh, cook you delicious food and let you take over the music when jazz funk becomes too much…Willo is very friendly and a true expert on Valladolid - he is always ready with suggestions and tips for you! If you want to practice Spanish, this is definitely the right place. I loved having responsibility and Willo is super flexible with any ideas for the hostel. the hostel is relaxing, cosy and welcoming; it was also great to get know regulars and friends who are always coming and going.

I loved the hostel - I felt at home here and met wonderful people including travelers and other volunteers. The work can be easy or hard at times. Wilo is a great manager and I really appreciate him for being understanding when I changed my plans. Valladolid is a beautiful, great place to visit - I experienced lots of great things including cenotes, Mayan ruins, local art, and trying local food (tacos, paletas, tons of fruit, etc) - it's a great place to learn about the local culture, centrally located and also a super safe area. I'm grateful for this experience and I would do it again.

I really enjoyed spending time here. Thanks again to Willo for its unconditional welcome. It was a pleasure to share my days with other volunteers and travellers. Valladolid is a really peaceful city where you feel at home. I thoroughly recommend the experience.

I like very much to work in the hostel, met nice people, Wilo (the Host) was always very respectful and kind, and as he is the only one running the hostel (others are just volunteers) he does a lot of work by himself. I connected with the Host, with the place and other volunteers. I would just suggest a few improvements such as the shower that is cold and there is not much pressure in it, but as he told me he is already fixing it. Other than that, very glad I could use the bike to ride around the city, also rented the scooter which is affordable. I would recommend the experience.
