I thoroughly enjoyed my time the hostel Sebastián. Cosy hostel with a super relaxed atmosphere. Working hours was respected and David and Aritz accommodated if I had any specific wishes to the weekly schedule. I have had such a good time with the whole team 💖

A special first experience! In Surfing Etxea I found a family and I strongly suggest everyone to go. The place is beautiful and the hostel's owners are super friendly and respectful. There are many volunteers working at the same time allowing everyone to make friends. I had a lot of free time where I could do many activities and travels. I will always have a wonderful memory of the hostel Sebastián :)

I have an amazing the hostel Surfing Etxea. The Hosts David and Aritz are super Kind, easygoing, and respectfull. We work really well together. They also invite us to local places and we travel to France sometimes. I would definitely do another voluntary here if I can.

It's been a real pleasure having Santi this season.
Besides exceeding expectations with his knowledge of photography, editing, and social media management, etc., he has done an incredible job at the reception and in attending to customers at the bar.
On the other hand, he has fit perfectly with the whole hostel team.
Always willing to lend a hand and with the best vibe.

I had a very good experience! I stayed in the reception and the bar, I practiced my Spanish and English and I met a lot of good people. The hostel is very good and the work is fun and easy. I'm sure anyone would have a good experience there!

I had what one would call a “difficult start” in the beginning, but I got a lot of experience as it was my first time working. I had fun during my shifts, mainly because the guests were all one of a kind. Only real setback was that I never got to feel comfortable with most of the other volunteers, nor the cook. It was clear from the first week that they didn't like me and even the guests could detect it. Simple things, that everybody did, like being seen outside of the bar when things were slow, didnt apply to me. The bosses are super quick and experts. The hostel attracts amazing people!

It could be worst than it was. But still the time I paid there it wasn't worth. Unfortunately the room for the volunteers was nasty. And besides that the colleagues were quit rude. Basically it was more uncomfortable than welcoming.

The best hostel I have ever seen, good vibes, the hosts David and Aritz are wonderful people and they have always been very good to me. the hostel is also an incredible place and I dont want to leave. It was amazing, I recommend this experience to everyone!

This was the absolute best first worldpackers experience. Within a few days I really felt like family and part of the group. There are great vibes in the hostel and whether you surf or not you will have a blast. The tasks are simple and fair. The owners, Aritz and David, are two of the coolest guys I've ever met. I learned a lot from them and grew to admire them as well. the hostel is an amazing city and can't wait to go back. Until then, AGUR!

About a year ago I had the chance to be a part of Surfing Etxea's team and I just can't recommend it enough for volunteering! Apart from the fact that the hostel is an amazing city with endless activities and a lot of fun year long, this hostel is a great place to work at. The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming and you will for sure meet lots of interesting people every day. Regarding the tasks; they're quite easy to do and not hard at all. Last but not least Aritz and David definitely made my stay even better and I'm super thankful! :D
