The Experience

Hours would be fluid & it depends on days events & our cleaning needs. Volunteer would help part-time leading activities such as ping pong & pool tournaments as well as leading guests on pub crawls etc. Hours would usually be in Evenings, around 8-9 pm. The posi would also do some cleaning of the bathroom/kitchen/common areas, either in the late evenings or early mornings. They may also substitute for the housekeeper or front desk on days off.

My experience at the hostel didn't really go as I expected. Chris was really listening and helpful. Tasks and schedules took place as agreed. But... Unfortunately I think the hostel has lost quality in recent years. Cleanliness was not up to standard. I also regularly saw cockroaches. And the clientele is no longer as young and party-loving as it used to be. I failed to feel comfortable during my month-long experience. Obviously, this remains my opinion and my expectations were perhaps too high.

Very mellow hostel, which has its advantages and disadvantages. All in all had a very good time!
