I had a wonderful experience at the project! Leo and his family were so welcoming - it felt like being at home. I especially enjoyed the communal breakfasts and lunches together. His two little girls are amazing as well - full of energy and joy! The task was explained beforehand, with a clear timetable and rota each day, with each afternoon free to enjoy the waterfalls and surrounding nature. We made landscape terraces, which was hard work, but very satisfying and I learnt a lot. Also great Spanish practice! A lovely community there! Thank you leo and keila!

My time at the project was lovely! While there, I helped Leo planting, trimming and cleaning the field and digging a hole for a fish pond. We worked in the morning, and other than that, helped with cooking, cleaning and being with the kids. I've learned a lot about plants, and spent a lovely time playing with the girls! Leo also though me about natural cosmetics, although it was not the actual work during my stay, as there were other projects he needed help with. Both leo and keyla were very welcoming and caring, and made me feel at home. Very happy to help this beautiful project

Leo's project is immersed into nature. The activities vary from building with mud to learning about natural cosmetics. Be aware that it can get physical. The beds for the volunteers are unattended (you need not to mind bugs, humidity and mosquitoes. Fair, being in the jungle). Leo has two children. They are lovely, energetic and demand attention. Be aware that childcare is not listed as one of the activities, but it is one of them, if not the main one. We had a lovely time with them. You'll take turns cooking meals (creativity with little ingredients required). We loved our time there.

Leo is someone truly committed to his lifestyle in the jungle, fully embracing a way of living in harmony with nature. He is an admirable person, always taking care of his two daughters and managing all the activities on the farm with dedication. The internet connection is good but not available throughout the entire farm, which slightly changed my initial plans. However, the surroundings are absolutely stunning. One thing that really surprised me was the number of Europeans in the area, both as tourists and as residents. Leo's two daughters are adorable but extremely demanding of attention.

I spent a week helping sew shut a few hundred bags of soil that would be used to construct a retaining wall. The area is really beautiful and I enjoyed the peaceful mornings and evenings in my hammock listening to the bugs and birds and rain. From the listing I did think there would be different types of tasks where I might learn more, but I wasn't there long so I imagine a longer term volunteer might learn more. The kids are very sweet. Leandro was flexible about me coming a day late because I was sick & his cooking is great. The internet works well. The room could be a bit more comfortable.

This was a nice experience completely immerged in the jungle! I learned a lot about making your own soap and cosmetic products. It was nice to share the daily life (tasks, meals...) with the hosts! Thanks again for having me :)

Nuestra experiencia en el proyeto fue magnífica! Leo es un anfitrión muy amable, claro y flexible con las tareas, y un buen líder de trabajo. El lugar es hermoso, representa lo que se imagina cuando se piensa a "vivir en la naturaleza", rodeado de bosque y con un río 3 minutos por de bajo. Aunque estuvimos pocos dias y solo trabajando en construccion, estuvimos muy bien en el ambiente, con toda la familia, que es muy acogedora, y con las niñas, con las cuales pasamos la mayor parte del tiempo libre, que nos impresionaron mucho por su inteligencia y con las cuales nos divertimos mucho!

El proyeto es un lugar hermoso, rodeado de naturaleza, árboles frutales, colibríes, el río y paisajes que siempre recordaré. Leo, el anfitrión, siempre fue muy amable y claro con las tareas. Convivir con las niñas fue una experiencia especial; aprendí mucho de ellas y me sorprendió lo inteligentes que son. También aprendí sobre plantas locales, cómo se trabaja la tierra y un poco de cosmética natural. Lo mejor de colaborar aquí es tener mucho tiempo para disfrutar y conectar con la naturaleza. Agradezco mucho la comida, la habitación y todas las atenciones. ¡Lo recomiendo mucho! GRACIAS!!!

Estar en este lugar, siendo mi primera experiencia en Santa Marta y en la selva. Ha sido hermoso Me permití llegar sin expectativas, y la experiencia estuvo muy llena de amor y de espacios que me permitieron conectar con la naturaleza, conmigo misma y también con una familia llena de mucho amor. No sé si repetiría el voluntariado, por temas de trabajo, ya que mi trabajo demanda mucho tiempo. Pero sin duda alguna si me gustaría volver de visita 🤍✨ Sin duda alguna, Leandro como anfitrión, keila aunque esta pocas horas y las niñas, tienen mucho por aportar y enseñar a las personas que llegan
