I'm so happy with my time at the hostel Connemara. If you like peace and quiet, this place is ideal, nestled between the mountains and the lake. My stay was supposed to be for a month, but I ended up staying a few weeks longer. I want to give a special mention to the manager, who, besides always being willing to help, is an incredibly kind and attentive person. From the first day to the last, he offered me his assistance, so thank you, Mario! I 100% recommend this volunteering.

I had an absolutely great time at the hostel! The work hours are well respected, usually you can get the tasks done in less time and have the rest of the day to explore or spend time with the other volunteers. If you are into nature and hiking, the surroundings will be absolutely perfect for you! Keep in mind that the hostel is quite remote and getting anywhere without a car can be difficult sometimes. However, the hostel's manager Mario goes above and beyond to make sure that you have a nice time and can still get to places. Overall would definitely recommend a stay here!

This was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't be happier that I got to have it here! The hostel is super cozy, and the surroundings are peaceful, beautiful, and witg stunning landscapes. Mario, the manager, is such a kind, generous, and welcoming person, always willing to help with whathever that you need and show you amazing places. The work is light and easy, which gives you free time to enjoy the area. And from April, lamb season makes the place feel even more magical. I met wonderful people and shared such great moments with the other volunteers. I would truly recommend it!

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! The work is easy and the hostel has such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Mario, the manager, is an amazing person : kind, flexible and always willing to help. Thanks to him, I was able to discover the region and fully enjoy my days off, as he kindly drove us to the nearest bus stops. I had a great time at the hostel. I was on reception in the evenings (which included making the bread/flapjacks for the morning). Shifts were very manageable and arranging days off was easy. The hostel itself is inviting and cozy and the other volunteers were great. It's a quiet place with amazing hiking and scenery and is fairly easy to get to neighboring towns for your days off with the citylink bus. Mario was a great host. He showed us all around Connemara as that can be a bit tricky without your own car, and took us into town or the bus stop when needed.

I had an amazing time at the hostel. The nature is beautiful, and the work at the Hostel is very doable. I started doing housekeeping tasks and went on to work reception. This experience has made me much more comfortable and confident in speaking English. But my time there was made especially great by the people I met. The host Mario is simply amazing, he is really accommodating, for example with the off-days, he would take us grocery shopping almost daily (if needed) and show us around Connemara. Him and the other volunteers made my time there unforgettable. Thanks for everything!

I spent almost two months at the hostel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hostel is located in Connemara, and we're surrounded by sheep and little lambs. The surroundings areas are beautiful and you can go on great hikes in the mountains and watch the sunset on the beach. The work is easy and we usually finish early. Mario, the manager, was really frendly and didn't hesitate to show us the area with is car. The whole staff was absolutely great. I would totally recommend this peaceful experience!
