Loved my stay at the Center, a beautiful place surrounded by nature and an amazing staff ❤ The only thing for me was that when the guests are here you don't have the same days-off and schedule than the others volunteers so can't really hang out with them... I learned a lot, food was amazing, the work was nice and you can come to the yoga and meditation class where the teachers are always ready to teach us things and answer your questions ! Recommend the experience ☺

Hi Lyne, thanks for the feedback, was an absolute pleasure having you with us! Thanks again for your hard work and good company! I just wanted to add something to your point about not having the same time off as the other volunteers, just to balance it a bit for other prospective volunteers! So yes it’s often the case that while guests are here you all have your individual shifts and different days off, but when guests aren’t here (which was the case for the last week of your stay) then you did all work the same times and have days off together, including the last weekend too. As a general structure I always try and start volunteers a few days before a retreat begins, and leave a few days after, so that we can all spend some time together as a group and community but unfortunately this wasn’t possible with you as you were a last moment replacement which meant you arrived during a retreat instead of before too! Much Love Richard and The Team

It's an incredible place! Surrounded by nature and tranquility. It's a perfect place to connect with yourself and align with spirituality if that's what you are looking for. The staff is always well disposed and everyone is very friendly. Especially Karen and Ivan are lovely people and always make you laugh! It is important to know that it is far from the city so keep this in mind when choosing to stay there. Know how to drive a manual car or pay for a car to be able to move around because it is really far away. I had a nice experience! Very thankful for my time with them :)

Hi Sofia, it was lovely having you with us and thank you for your very kind words about us! For future prospective volunteers I'm just going to give some context to how far away we are from Lagos as it's a bit open to interpretation from your review! We about a 15 minute drive from Lagos (14km) and there are buses which run from early morning, about 07.30 with the last one returning about 18.30, however they aren’t very frequent! You do have to walk about 40 mins to get to the bus stop though, or otherwise we have a bike that is available to ride to the stop, or some volunteers use the bike to ride to Lagos. On most days someone from the site will be driving to town at some point, so it’s often possible to catch a ride there (and sometimes also a ride back too, although we can’t guarantee lifts, and it’s usually easier to get there then back) and anyone who wants to stay out late either tends to get an Uber back, particularly if there is a group, or take a trip lasting for a couple of days on days off and stay out. However I think the main point is our retreat definitely suits people who are keen and comfortable to be out in nature and hanging out with the community, it is tricky if you want to go to the town super often as we aren’t really geared up for that. All the best!

Such an amazing place to be at, and the people are extremely welcoming and we (volunteers) immediately felt at home and part of their community which is more like a big family. During the stay everybody was very helpful, we had an amazing time, we could participate in many activities. This is a place for spiritual, conscious people, who love to engage in meaningful conversations, healthy living and surrounding themselves with nature. I would come back at any time!

My experience was unparalleled, and I recommend it to everyone! From the very first moment they welcome you with open arms, the owners are very loving and you can tell they want to take care of the volunteers, and they are very grateful for the work we do.
I shared with kind and fun volunteers who became family. The tasks are super easy and everything agreed upon was always respected. After completing your tasks there's a lot of free time to explore and go to the beach. I am very grateful for my time here and I highly recommend them!!

The center is a beautiful, abundant, and deeply transformative place. It offers good accommodations, a kitchen with healthy foods and spaces for yoga, meditation, and more. It is a calm, harmonious environment, surrounded by nature, with a staff (permanent team and volunteers) of conscious hearts and committed to well-being. A living experience of learning and growth. Our stay was beautiful and valuable; after a month and a half we are leaving eager to return soon. We recommend it with all our hearts!

I spent a week at the Center and it was a very incredible experience. The volunteers who worked there were very welcoming and I felt very welcomed. The retreat has a great kitchen, sauna, pool, Yoga and meditation classes. The volunteers can use these areas during the period when there are no guests, usually late afternoon. All meals were included and everything had a lot of quality (and was very healthy!). I attended the meditation and Yoga classes and it was incredible

The Center fully fulfills what it sets out to do, with great care! It's a beautiful place, with kind people and plenty of cultural exchanges. That said, it's important to say that it is, too, a place that requires quite a bit of adaptation, not by imposition, but by sociability. It has strong marks of spirituality and alternative lifestyles, so if you're not used to that, you'll need resilience to fit in.
