Interesting exp. with ups and downs. (: Shelter is in a beautiful nature, you can enjoy it with walking dogs everyday, cycling, walking and explore the La the project. You got a small cozy container with a cozy bed. It's directly on the place where all the dogs and cats live - you are everytime surrounded by loud noise and smell. The hygienic conditions pushed me to my limits tbh - there is no bathroom without dogs/pi/ka. Shower is dogshower, bathroom and kitchen only usable after cleaning. Team is very nice, welcoming, tolerant (exept for 1 passive aggressive girl). 🙏🏼🌻 Work was very easy.

My time at Pro Animal was truly incredible! You receive so much love from the animals, and the people on-site welcome you as if you've always been part of their family. You learn a lot about the animals and how to care for them. So,if you want to do something genuinely good, this is the perfect place to be. You should be aware that working with animals always comes with certain smells, noise & dirt. The container accommodation is quite minimalist - but with a bit of creativity, you can make it cozy and really enjoy your stay. I'm deeply thankful to everyone there for six wonderful weeks <3

My experience was amazing and I recommend the project 100%! The. team were very welcoming and helpful to me and their dedication to the animals is clear. The animals were wonderful to be around and I learned a lot. I agree with other reviews that it's like a big family and I loved being part of it.There's a lot of freedom for volunteers because the work is done in the morning, leaving afternoons free. La the project is stunningly beautiful and the sun always shines. Laura, Luis, Patri, Ale, Carolina, Ferne - thank you for your help (particularly with my Spanish!) and for all the laughs. Volveré!

I could learn a lot during my two months at the project and it was a really nice experience! I loved working with the cats and taking care of them. Also my tasks were really diverse which was great, for example cleaning the rooms, bathing the cats, painting, preparing food and medication but also going for a walk with a dog or sometimes to the vet. (If you're more of a dog-person, you can choose to work more with them) Also everyone from the team was super friendly and helpful, thank u for everything:) I'd recommend this opportunity to every animal-lover!

My volunteering experience at Pro Animal in La the project was just wonderful! The whole team is very welcoming and happy to help you. The tasks are quite easy and they give you a lot of freedom when you want to work which was amazing. You have more than enough time to explore the island. The only thing which I think is important to know, is that your Spanish should be on a good level to enjoy this experience even more. But even for me with very basic Spanish knowledge it was an overall amazing experience and I will defenitely come back at some point :)

Si bien tuve que irme antes por temas personales, pasé 3 semanas muy lindas en el proyeto. La isla es muy tranquila y tiene mucha naturaleza y lugares para conocer. En la protectora ale, Patri, Hilda y el resto de las chicas me trataron súper bien. Las tareas son flexibles y fáciles. El contenedor en el que uno se hospeda es bastante cómodo con su nevera y cocina. Lo que es un poco incómodo es que para ir al baño o ducharse hay que ir hasta el baño de la protectora que en la noche puede ser un poco engorroso. Lo recomiendo si te gustan mucho los animales, la tranquilidad y la naturaleza.

Me conmovió mucho la hermosa presencia del equipo del proyeto, que pone todo su corazón y energía en el cuidado de los animales. Estaba feliz de poder ayudar con mi parte de trabajo, unas horas por la mañana, ocupándome del espacio de los gatos: comida, agua, limpieza, y mimos. En mi tiempo libre pude explorar la isla, de una gran belleza, pasear con los perros y avanzar en proyectos personales. Hay un momento de adaptación al principio y el equipo siempre está dispuesto a ayudar. Mi corazon esta lleno de gratitud, amor y belleza. Espero haber dado tanto como recibi.

Todo ha sido maravilloso en este lugar . Aprendi mucho y me senti en casa. El personal siempre haciendote sentir comodo . Las tareas son sencillas mientras que interactuas y pasas ratos de calidad con los animales . No solo limpiar , si no tambien jugar y sentarte con ellos un rato . Para ellos ese tiempo es oro . En esta protectora y refugio de verdad ven a los animales , los cuidan fisicamente pero vuelven a reconstruir sus almas , que es lo que a muchos se les olvida . Siento que es algo que muchos deberiamos vivir una vez en la vida . Gracias por devolverme el alma tambien a mi (:

Ha sido un voluntariado maravilloso. Me he sentido super acogida tanto por las personas que aquí trabajan, como por los voluntarios, animales y gente local. La isla es increíblemente bonita. Me quedaría aquí sin dudarlo. Volveré seguro, estoy feliz aquí. Deseando volver 😻😻😻🐶🐶🐶

Das war eine „volle“ Erfahrung. Es macht nur Sinn wenn du Hunde und Katzen, und Menschen), magst. Dann nimmst du gerne die Geräusch- und Geruchskulisse in Kauf. Du bist ziemlich auf dich gestellt. Die Tiere sind spannend, toll. Die Dusch- und Waschmöglichkeiten musste ich woanders suchen (Tier-Waschmaschine und -Dusche war für mich keine Option). Diesen Nachteil gleichte in meinen Augen die Privileg, das Firmenauto zum Erkunden der Insel zu nutzen, völlig aus. Herzliche, angenehme Leute.
