I was here for 48h. I witnessed the host being inappropriate with other female volunteers and myself. He was indifferent to any direct issues and often gaslit or ignored you. He ignored phone calls when trying to receive directions. The women in the kitchen can yell at you at any point with no explanation or consequences. I was uncomfortable with them cooking my food. The host ignored my request to go back to the house and resulted in me sleeping on a beach chair. Items were stolen from another volunteer. Work hours are from 7a to 12a promised pay for overtime wasn't received. na/C.

At Lovište, I had a great time and really enjoyed the location and the people I met! Pros : Beautiful seaside location Bikes and a car available to explore the area Excellent fresh meals every day Free access to paddleboards and snorkeling gear Roberts was helpful with transport and practical needs Working together with music made the atmosphere enjoyable Cons : Many extra hours during high season (paid at the end), leaving little free time in the evenings The atmosphere could become stressful when the restaurant was busy Frequent gender-based jokes became tiring after a while

The experience at the inn was overall a really nice stay! I loved the location, directly by the sea. The team is welcoming, even though only some speak English/german. The working hours are respected, but the task differ from only bar and kitchen work. We also did for ex. housekeeping. We had a fun time at the inn, the kitchen is amazing and can cater even to my vegan needs (but without any protein), so I was never hungry! Still I have to say, the place is definitely workwise gender coded and there will be gender cliché jokes. I never felt unsafe here and it was a cool experience

The team is great, Fátima the cook makes amazing food, and our trailer was comfortable. The host could improve regarding communication, but overall we had a good experience. We had fun and will keep good memories.

If you are a real volunteer (not someone hunting for free food/free accommodation) for sure you will have an amazing time here! Robert is an authentic person and once you understand him and his way of life things just flow with ease! Picking olives was awesome and unique experience! The food was so good, Fatima and Amir were always ready to feed me with the best delights. I also helped in the restaurant (a lot of organizing), cleaning and recycling. And at the end of the day I was blessed with unbelievables sunsets. Do what you are here for and get what you deserve! Robert, you rock!

Staying and working at Guesthouse Gardina was a great start to my volunteer work and travel experience. Robert and the team are all welcoming and warm hearted people. The town is very relaxed and beautiful. The work is diverse and you can learn a lot as well as pick up interesting skills. It's a great place to visit and I'd happily go back!

The place is beautiful and peaceful. The food is always very good. The accommodation I stayed in was new, so there was no water or electricity, but we were offered another one if we wanted to change within a few days. Working hours are respected, and the work is relaxed. Sometimes communication wasn't clear, which led to some arguments, but nothing serious.

Amazing place! Tasks are simple: cleaning, doing laundry, keeping everything organized and functioning and some times helping in the restaurant. Once you know what to do, you're quite independent and manage your own hours. The accommodation is 1.3km away but there are bikes and a car available to use. Robert is also very flexible and let us use the car to drive to Orebić for the day. The food was okay, they prepare it at the restaurant. I'm vegetarian so I did have to buy my own protein at times unless I wanted to eat salad/pasta only. Overall, it was a great experience!

A beautifully stunning location with warm locals. Comfortable accommodation within the hotel and amazing meals cooked by the chefs. Hours are a little flexible because you are like part of the family and the place needs something done at all times. Robert has a wonderful sense of humor and wants to know your feedback throughout the experience. The daily tasks were slightly different which kept it fun and exciting. Don't allow yourself to take anything too personal here and you will be just fine! the inn, Thank you for taking great care of me this past month and helping me to learn!!!
