It was the best month of my life, and I know I'll tear up every time I look back at those moments. I met the most extraordinary souls who made this experience pure magic. Amazing experience with amazing people, would definitely recommend! Tasks were very reasonable and being able to choose which 3 days off we had each week meant we could all plan lots of trips and things outside the hostel too

Beautiful experience followed by welcoming feeling right away. Thank you so much for being such a heartwarming people. Of course the hostel would need some improvements but overall the tasks were easy and everybody helpfull. I'd recommend for sure and would return as soon as I could. Portugal is amazing place. 🫶🫂✨️

Best ever!! Do it!! This place felt like home, the most comfortable and welcoming place. The host, the other volunteers, the town, the surf, it was all perfect. I was heartbroken to leave, but I know I will be back. I am excited for whoever decides to do this next!

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the hostel is kept very clean, making it easy to feel at home from the moment you arrive. The volunteer work was fair and well-organised, leaving plenty of free time to explore the hostel and the surrounding towns, which allowed me to make the most of my month in Portugal. The staff and fellow volunteers were amazing people, and I made some really special memories with them - I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable stay!

My volunteering experience at the hostel's surf hostel was my first experience as a volunteer, and I honestly could not have hoped for better. The atmosphere was amazing, the team was welcoming, and I met so many great people from around the world. It was an unforgettable experience that taught me a lot and gave me incredible memories :))

What made my experience in LSH special was not the beautiful sunsets I got to see in Carcavelos beach, the fact that I could take free surf clases whenever I pleased, the flexibility I had to travel to all the vibrant towns/cities nearby, nor the amazing BBQs Mandush would make for us... What really made my experience special were the laughs, the stories and the connections I made with all the people I met along the way. It is something I will hold dear to my heart for the rest of my life! This experience was definitely one for the books.

This was my first volunteering experience so I was very nervous and shy going in but everyone made me feel welcomed as soon as I arrived. The team at the hostel were amazing, if you needed help with anything they were always happy to help. The work was super chill and there was plenty of time to explore Portugal. The 4 weeks went by so fast I extended an extra week, I would love to come back and volunteer again it was a great experience meeting everyone :)

This was my first time volunteering and I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived I immediately felt like a part of the team. Since it was low season I got a chance to really connect with the team and the guests. The work hours were fair and we got to choose what days we wanted off each week which gave us time to explore more of Portugal. Carcavelos is beautiful and it's only a 10 min walk to the beach. I highly recommend LSH and I cant wait to come back to visit :)
