This was my first Worldpackers experience and I could not have had a better one! The team at the hostel is more than great and I have felt like a part of it throughout the entire time, making me feel welcomed, heard and understood. The tasks were what you'd expect and the agreed upon hours were always honoured. The apartment where the volunteers stay at is located perfectly to explore Barcelona and is equipped with pretty much everything you'd need. It was an unforgettable experience and I would, and I have said it, do it again without any doubt! Thank you Fernando, Anja, Caro and Magdalena!

The work was very straightforward and since my job was a cleaner, it was only 16 hours of work per week (4 hours for 4 days). This left me a lot of free time to explore the city which was very nice! The apartment was not what I expected. It had very small rooms and was not very inviting but it was okay and I just ended up spending a lot more time exploring Barcelona because of this. The staff at the hostel was very welcoming and helpful when I needed anything!

My first experience and it couldn't have gone better. The job was easy and just a few hours of work per day, which left a plenty of free time to explore the area. The other volunteers were very friendly and welcoming, and I met amazing people from all over the world. The flat is lovely, with an excellent location. I can't thank Caro enough for choosing me, and I would also like to thank Anja and Fer for the great conversations and music we shared. I had a great time at the hostel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rewarding and fun way to get to know Barcelona.

I had a beautiful time in the hostel. I stayed for 3 months and worked there as a night shift receptionist. The team was so nice, when I had any problems, they were there and helped me. So on many thanks to Anja, Fernando and Caro, making my experience even better and choosing me as a volunteer. :) As I never worked in a hostel before, I did a lot of mistakes at my first shifts alone but they were really patient and kind to me, also when I asked the same question again and again. It was also my first worldpacker experience and I will definitely not regret it. Bcn was the best time ever

I worked at the hostel for about 7 weeks. The tasks mainly included: changing ~8-25 bed sheets, cleaning bathrooms, showers, floors, lockers, and taking out trash. I found the work difficult for the first few weeks and would finish in 5 hours instead of the supposed 4, but Alejandro and my other coworkers were always very understanding/encouraging. The apartment was nice, in a safe neighborhood, 15 minute walk to the hostel. Only issue was no working air conditioning. I highly recommend this opportunity as I had lots of time to explore Barcelona and make some truly meaningful connections.

PERFECT to enjoy the perfect Barcelona! Pros: The hostel is located well in a residential area, lots of bars and cafes. The flat is 15 mins walk. Fernando and Caro are very amiable people who'll support/help you all the time. Some pocket money + transportation card!! Easy tasks. Cons: Far from the beaches. The housing is just OK. The night shift can be fatiguing in many ways! - the reason it's 4 stars, cause it's also 40 hours a week. And the organization can be a bit unfair. It's ok if you don't take it personally/seriously. Thank you, the hostel! It was an awesome experience :D
