The Experience

We aim to offer an experience that is mutli-faceted and mutually beneficial. We want guests to feel like the Center is a comfortable and welcoming ‘home away from home’. In this role, you’ll play a special part in creating a warm sense of belonging for all who arrive at our doors and choose to stay here. This position is very forward-facing…in other words, you’ll have lots of interaction with people on the front lines of our operation.

It was my first experience with Worldpacker but not the last one. Thank you so much to Erin, Rayda and Valentina for your welcoming. I had the chance to do this experience as a couple, we were wonderfully welcomed, the work requested was honest (welcoming guests, check-in, check-out, setting up the gallery for certain events), we only work 3 times a week and our schedule was well organized so that we have time to enjoy ourselves as a couple. If you like socialising, art , culture, music and painting (you will be fascinated by this place), the directors and the whole leadership team are excellent human beings, always ready to listen to you and most importantly 24/7 to help you. The location is privileged and the hostel has clean and cosy facilities. I recommend it 100%. 💖✨

My experience in ISC was amazing and I had a home away from Brazil! The team responsible: Erin, Rayda and Valentina, were the best! They were very kind, gave me good training and support during my tasks, were very friendly, and included me in cultural life. I made new friends for life! The volunteers were very nice! The tasks were exactly the same as the info given previously. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people from all over the world. I practiced English with different accents and got inspired by the city and lifestyle. The neighborhood is great and has easy access to everywhere.

I cannot stress enough how amazing my time at the hostel was! The work is very well-structured; everyone knows their responsibilities and manages their work/rest time effectively. Relationships are built on mutual respect and support. Erin and Rayda are incredibly supportive, understanding, and kind, making the center feel like home to me. The location of the hostel is incredible—just a 5-minute walk from Central Park and a 3-minute walk to the metro. The team dorm is very comfortable, and we have access to the kitchen and the common lounge. I miss you all so much

An Unforgettable Experience Volunteering here was amazing! The team is organized, and the location near Central Park in the Upper West Side is perfect for exploring the city.
