My experience at Lendang Nangka with Mr Ahyak and his community was something so so special that i will cherish forever. Teaching the local kids english was so fun and inspiring. The whole community welcomes you with open arms and hearts, they fed me, showed me many unique experiences and we shared stories for hours. The homestays are very comfortable and the hosts always make sure you have everything you need. Mr Ahyak and the team are doing wonderful things in this village for both the locals and volunteers. This place felt like home from the very first day, I will be back so so soon.

It was one It was an incredibly special and unforgettable experience. It felt like having a second family. Everyone welcomed you with open arms. Teaching English was so much fun, and the children were very interested in learning new things. During the day, you also always have time to do trips in the area also with other volunteers. I highly recommend this program to everyone!

An incredible time that you have to experience for yourself. You come out feeling like you have a second family and community. The students were a joy to teach and there were so many other volunteers to do activities with. Every day the whole community met up together. I’d recommend knowing how to ride a motorbike to make things easier but it’s not necessary. I definitely want to come back :)

My time in Lombok was deeply meaningful. The host family was welcoming and generous (they offered us 3 meals a day), and I felt truly integrated into daily life. Teaching English and science to the children was a joy! They were curious, kind, and very eager to learn. Accommodations were nice and fulfilled all our needs. The hosts allowed for plenty of time to explore the region. If you come with humility, adaptability, and a genuine desire to connect, this will be incredibly rewarding! I plan to come back, soon.

Words can't express how life changing my experience in Lombok, Indonesia was. This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found this organization. Aziz and his wife, Vivi, were so welcoming, loving, and supportive of all our needs. They truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The children in the afternoon program were engaged, curious, and eager to learn. Since all of the students are beginner-level English learners, I would recommend bringing a few printed materials or simple worksheets to help lessons runs smoothly. I highly recommend !

I really enjoyed my time here! I'm very grateful, they welcomed me as a member of their family. My host mom was so kind and she was cooking delicious meals. I gave French classes to children for the first time and it was an incredible experience, there are so joyful and exciting. Herman, the local english teacher, makes me discover his culture (I went to weeding, met his friends…). The only « negatives » things are : we need to ask for the permission to the boss everytime we wanted to hang out (even to go to a coffee shop) + all the volunteers are separate in differents homestays.

Telma and I had the best stay at Muni’s homestay! We were warmly welcomed and felt at ease. The only thing that could have been better afterwards was the explanation about the english lessons. We had not really an idea of what was expected of us, so we just gave it our own interpretation. The children were so sweet and dedicated to the lessons. They also took really good care of us in the homestay! We were allowed to choose every meal each day and received home cooked meals😍 it truly felt like we gained a bonus mother. Muni also took us to a local school and a waterfall. Would deff recommend!

I really lover my stay with Mr Ahyak and his community. Everyone is so kind and welcoming and it really feels like you are a part of the community. The hours of working are really chill and flexible, and the teaching was really fun for me to do, because all the kids were so eager to learn.
You have free time in the morning/ early afternoon so plenty of time for activities.
We also often eat together at someones place which were my favorite moments, and then afterwards singing together through the night.
This has a really a go-with-the-flow vibe, so you will have to get used to that hahah.
