The Experience

Aloha, I have more details about expectations in the other role and everything is the same except the support area needed. This position is less livestock and learning-focused and more home support. This role is good for someone who isn't as comfortable working with pigs, and chickens but is still physically strong, hard-working, and focused. It is still hot, and physically challenging.

I absolutely loved my time with Synnora and her family. This was my first worldpackers experience, and what a great time I had. This family welcomed me with open arms, ensured that I was always taken care of, offered great advice about traveling to different parts of the island, and taught me so much about Hawaiian culture. The work was new and exciting everyday, and I was very hands-on with so many the farm loving animals. The accommodations were awesome, and the meals were always delicious. I could go on and on about how great these people are! I can't wait to come back again someday!

I had the best experience with Synnora and her family during my short stay! It was my first volunteer experience with Worldpackers and i would 100% do it again. They are super welcoming and make you feel at home. it is hard work and dirty, however, it was a great time to learn more about farm work and animal care. After work there were so many places to go enjoy, cool off from the heat, and explore! Synnora's daughter always had us laughing and made the experience so much the farm, i was so sad to leave. i would definitely recommend this volunteer opportunity and host!

I had a great experience with Synnora during my stay. Her family is very welcoming and accommodating! The work is manageable but very intense and the hours are definitely an accurate reflection of the time you will be asked for. The beaches are Beautiful and a great reprieve from the heat and outside work. Overall I would recommend this host and experience to anyone who enjoys farm work and wants to be immersed in the local culture too.
