I had a great time here at toddyland! the home and Anoj are very kind and will do anything to make you feel comfortable and at home. Also, the home is a great cook. I loved the meals she prepared for us. It was also fun to go around explore. You must be ready for some intense bus rides if you plan to be here. Nevertheless, I found the busses to be a fun experience.

Our stay was truly amazing. We had a lot of time so chill and relax in the beautiful garden and calm nature that surrounded the house. The home is an exellent cook and the most welcoming, kind and sweet person. We felt 100% comfortable with her. She will take you on daytrips to e.g. a teafarm, which was really interesting, apart from that she has always good recommendations on what to do in the area. They have two adorable dogs and cats and chicken.

We stayed for one week and had an absolutely wonderful time. From the very beginning, Uspeksha was incredibly kind, engaged, and always willing to help us with anything we needed. She took the time to explain so many things about Sri Lankan culture, which made the experience even more special and meaningful. The workload was quite light, which gave us a lot of free time. We had an amazing stay with the home, who is a truly warm and caring host. Living with a real Sri Lankan family was one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of this experience.

I absolutely loved the time spent at the home's house. we got to know her family and we learned a lot about sri lankan cuisine and culture. there wasn't too much work to do, regarding the season, so we had planty of time to explore the nearby area. the home was always helpful and a very sweet and friendly host!

Toddyland is a great place to stay! the home and Anoj were very kind hearted people who do their best to make you feel at home. We absolutely enjoyed staying with them. They were extremely flexible, although the experience itself it more a cultural exchange and we had a lot of time to ourselves as they were quite busy, which might have been due to the situation. Also they've changed the programme. We had a full day were Anoj drove us around for a village tour - which included visiting a local the home factory, waterfalls, visiting the aftermath of the cyclone and visiting a Buddhist monastery.

Toddyland was such a cozy, lovely and great place to stay. the home and Anoj were very kind people who did their best to make you feel at home and also to meet your wishes. Their personal way of living is very inspiring and you get a very good insight in a local families living! Unfortunately the program has changed a little, so it's more a cultural exchange rather than volunteering as a farmer. As we understood this was due to different safety precautions. So if you want to try to be a part of a local life in central Sri lanka this is definitely a place for you.

I spent one week with the home and her family and I loved it so much ! Since the day I arrived, I felt part of the family. I couldn't da lot but I enjoyed staying at her place, in the nature. My first Workaway experience with the home was wonderful! She was kind, fun, and always helpful. Her family was incredibly warm despite the language barrier, and their cute animals made it even better. It was a perfect opportunity to experience simple village life in Sri Lanka, connect with nature, and escape the city noise. I would definitely return!
