We need social superstars to run pub crawls, round up guests for quizzes, run games nights & basically hang out! Really good volunteer conditions, same sex dorms, yummy food + free drinks. Experience & 4 weeks+ preferred.
32 hours of help per week
Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
1 day off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Help us with the English language socialising and events. We need you to run pub crawls, quiz nights, games nights and pool parties (summer). We have a max of 4 volunteers at one time, so you will work in a team. Pub crawls and pool parties are the bigger days whilst the other events are easier and only take up a few hours (see below).
Your room will be a same sex dorm (same sex floors here!), good quality huge bed, massive locker, personal fan, plug socket, shelf, reading light, privacy curtain all the way round the bed! Quality is very high here, with everything. Free buffet breakfast and lunch or dinner too.
We would like to highlight this is a very very social role so we prefer volunteers with experience running pub crawls or hostel/uni events. The longer term volunteers will be favoured for positions and we generally ask for 1 month minimum. Introverts need not apply as it is too much of a social role.
Pub crawls we'll need all volunteers to help. An hour of of selling the crawl at check in time (don't worry it's a great deal and sells itself) and then a good 5+ hours on the crawl in the evening. You don't have to drink but if you do then there's a lot of free drinks for you!
Quiz nights & games nights we need one volunteer running it, ideally 1 or 2 playing. Quiz set out for you and games night same, very easy...smashballs, start a pool comp, play foosball, chess, uno, beer pong... 3-4 hours generally. Both of these events we take guests to town after and get them settled in a bar with a drinks deal.
Pool Parties are every Sunday (in spring-summer only). Details when we reopen next February. Pool and pool bar still open, just pool events paused right now.
Walking tours are only for the long term reps (3 months+) - will give a nice break from the pub crawls. The tour is set out but it's not worth training anyone who is here for a month. It's a 3 hour tour.
1 full day off a week which would be on a quiz, games, walking tour day. We coordinate between us on a WhatsApp group, head volunteer will help arrange and I'll step in if it can't be figured out.
Whilst this is a super fun social role, we need volunteers to contribute. Quality from short term reps has been low with many volunteers causing me more trouble than helping, hecnce why we prefer one month minimum commitment. The owners are nice, kind people and they couldn't care less about giving away some beers and a free bed. But they expect people to want to contribute. Please be aware you'll be fired if you're just in it for a free ride.
No drugs, have good intentions, no sex in the hostel dorms, cannot sell your free food/drinks, cannot have a side hustle selling tours/tailors etc - working online no problem.
ZERO TOLERANCE with any of these. Usual hostel rules apply and these have to be signed.
