Vila Orgánica is a beautiful and friendly place to spend some time. The tasks are easy and there is flexibility on how to organize it. People there is also very caring and attentive, and we have spend very nice evenings together. Also, the place is surrounded by nature, has many cute places to hang out, and four very friendly cats :)

I couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience. Anjali was an amazing host from day one, she treated us like part of her family. There was always a good vibe, tasty food, and the tasks were super simple. She and her mom welcome you with open arms and a genuine smile you'll truly appreciate. The atmosphere was always comfortable, and everything that was agreed upon was fulfilled without any issues. I stayed there during the month of September, when there were no more retreats happening. So the work mainly involved gardening and construction. The work was quite physically demanding, so it was hard to do the full six hours straight. I had to take some breaks, which made the work stretch throughout the day. However, the place is very beautiful, surrounded by nature and with some cute cats around. I met some really nice people and practiced my English a lot. From what I could see, the experience can vary a lot from person to person, depending on what you're expecting, when you go and etc..

My stay at the community went by in a flash, and that says a lot. The enviroment was awesome and friendly, with times where you could be alone if needed and in company otherwise, sharing some time around a campfire, playing games, improvising music parties and so much more. Workwise, there were some necessary tasks that needed attention, which were pointed out by Anjali, but she prefers to let you guide your times and activities, so It's appreciated if you have indipendente and a sense for what is needed in a countryside home. Overall the food was great, the company better, so i recommend It!

The conditions were breakfast, lunch and dinner, so i supposed that we had to cook for everyone in our work time, not breakfast and lunch for ourselves and also sometimes dinner for everyone in our free time plus six hours of working time. The hygiene was regrettable, i've got a urinary infection because nobody cleaned the bathrooms for an entire week (the toilets had stains that disappeared when we could finally clean them) because we were busy doing the tasks the host required like chopping wood in the sun. The place was full of nettles and unsanitary wc but she kept renting it to Airbnb.

Volunteers always have enough fresh food – asking me to buy meat at a vegan place was inappropriate and disrespectful. No one is ever forced to chop wood; it’s optional. Washing guest dishes in free time was never required. This review is dishonest, unfair, and does not reflect the reality of our project.

Three volunteers left the same day, which says a lot. My partner and I expected a good experience based on reviews, but reality was very different. We worked longer hours than agreed, did heavy and potentially dangerous tasks outside during summer like wood chopping (not listed), we were expected to work even more during our free time, and the food was minimal we had to cook it ourselves and when there was a retreat we had to eat leftovers of the guests two hours after they finished. We left after the host told us that she was frustrated because we weren't washing guest dishes in our freetime.

The community was my first volunteer experience and it was pretty nice: I improved my physical and mental health thanks to eating vegetarian products and staying far away from the city noise. Furthermore I practiced English and German.

Even though we booked at the last minute, our stay with Anjeli was very pleasant. She was always very attentive to our needs and worried about how we understood the tasks. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a place near Berlin; we took advantage of visiting Berlin on our days off. Thank you very much to everyone for hosting us and for Leo's great food! 😊
