As a kitchen volunteer, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the kitchen team. You’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness in our kitchen and will learn valuable skills in terms of kitchen operations and food handling, etc.
Duties include :
Dishwashing, pot washing, serving and general cleaning.
As our kitchen volunteer, you will play an important role in running our operation to satisfy our guests.
20 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
2 days off per week
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

As a kitchen volunteer, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the kitchen team. You’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards in our kitchen.
1. Everyday general cleaning duties covering all areas and including: the cleaning of the communal dining area, kitchen equipment etc.
2. Occasional special cleaning, e.g. carpet cleaning, deep cleaning areas, oven cleaning, washing down walls, laundry, cleaning vents and inside of windows.
3. Changing bed linen, counting and preparing laundry for collection.
A minimum of 20 hours a week.
When you are offered a role, the exact times of day will be confirmed. In general, our volunteers are required to work either in morning, late afternoon or evening shifts.
You’ll have 2 days off per week depending on how the hours are split for the week.
Volunteers stay in our shared single-sex dormitories with other volunteers. It depends on the hostel and availability as to how many other volunteers you will be staying with, but it will be between 2-4 other people. The minimum stay is 30 days. Volunteers coming on a tourist visa will be able to volunteer for 30 days.
