The temple was my home for 4 months and I am very grateful for everything I experienced there.
The facilities are nice, well organized, the people are friendly, and I worked with satisfaction.
My task was editing videos, creating designs and copy for social networks; it went very smoothly. I learned a lot from the people who worked with me in the marketing part. Every Friday the volunteers clean the temple, it's peaceful.
The food is truly wonderful, Kitah, the cook is amazing.
By bus in 30 minutes you can reach the city center or the beach. I loved it.

Having been part of the Temple for World Peace in Sintra was a precious experience. I felt deeply welcomed in an environment that breathes peace and joy. The people who sustain this space are amazing beings, willing to help and to maintain the harmony of the place. Arriving at the Center is a deeply welcoming experience, like coming home. Sharing with other volunteers and living the day-to-day at the temple makes each moment unique. One learns about Buddhism, meditating by observing one's own fears with awareness, enjoying delicious food, and creating a more present connection with oneself. As a social media volunteer, the tasks are clear and well organized, which also allows time to get to know Lisbon and Sintra It is an experience that is lived more than it can be explained. My experience at the temple was not what I expected.
Although the place is beautiful and has all the amenities, I couldn't fit in, although it also coincided with a vacation period and the temple's subsequent closure.
The people are very kind and caring. The food is tasty and varied.
At first, the person in charge of the volunteers wasn't there, and the one who took charge had a rather brusque way of dealing, changing the assigned tasks without prior notice, even while I was carrying them out.
