My experience was amazing, it couldn't have been better. The hostel's structure is great, large with many spaces to feel at ease. The tasks are divided equally and in shifts that vary so everyone can take advantage. The island is beautiful and Jito from the start was very supportive; he's a super easygoing person who gives you the freedom to talk and feel comfortable.
I would definitely recommend it, as it's well worth the experience.

It is difficult to find words to express how wonderful my time at the hostel was! The team only had amazing people, the work was fair and calm, I could kayak a lot and explore the wonders of the island. Jito is a great host, he became a great friend and even gave me space to sell drinks to guests, which helped me a lot to sustain myself during that time. I highly recommend it, I treasure this time with a lot of love in my memory and I hope I can come back soon!

Volunteers at the hostel were amazing! The place is set in nature, and super well located, very close to the central square. Jito is a fantastic host who makes all the difference to experience Boipeba in the best way. We take you on the tours, for kayaking, and help with whatever you need. The shift times are flexible and rotate throughout the week. I had the privilege of joining an amazing group of volunteers as well and I felt like I was in a big family!

If you're coming to Boipeba seeking tranquility, nature and new connections, this is the right place.
Easy trails, beautiful beaches, markets, and fresh produce.
The hostel has a large social area, a fully equipped kitchen, and several bathrooms.
In the room there are only 6 female volunteers, which gives us more privacy. Most perform all tasks at different times with a predefined schedule.
Here we share physical activity, food, time, and history.

I love Boipeba so much and staying at Alecrim only made my experience better. I went to spend 1 month and stayed two and a half months.
The hostel is amazing, a lot of contact with nature, the guests go with a very good vibe and I was very lucky with all the volunteers who passed there.
The host, Jito, became my friend, lol. A sensational guy, willing to listen and dialog with the volunteers. I can only thank you ✌️
The tasks are simple (cleaning and reception) and at the reception a lot of times Jito did them, so it felt lighter.
We got breakfast (very good, thank you May) which helps a lot financially.
