This is my first ever experience volunteering. I've learned a lot when I was in the hostel as one of the Event Coordinator - from leading pubcrawls, pub quiz, BBQ nights, Walking Tours & Batu Cave Tour. My social skills improve because of this. I get to meet fellow travellers and full time staff of the hostel. Rooms are clean, and is well ventilated. They have common area, pool that are conducive for social gatherings, & to meet people. They also give 1 coffee & food everyday for your stay as a volunteer. Thank you Honey & Tajj for everything! I really had a great time in the hostel.

Best place I have ever volunteered at, really love this hostel. Everyone is really super kind, fun and helpful with everything. And as if that wasn't good enough, I got a lunch box every day but super tasty food that I really appreciate. Will miss this place and all the nice people.

I had a great time at the hostel! Leading the activities was lots of fun, it never felt like work! There are 3 the hostel locations and they split the volunteers up so there is at least 1 sleeping at each location in a dorm with other guests. accommodation was so clean and staff + guests were so lovely 🥰 I would really recommend!

I loved my stay at the hostel Lekiu!! You will definitely make lots of friends, the tasks are simple, and it's super chill! The volunteer managers are very nice and helpful, always a text message away! The hostels are placed very nicely around the city, and there is plenty of time to wander about (: Definitely recommend the hostel!

Great experience at the hostel. Amazing team, I enjoyed my time here while I discovered Kuala Lumpur and around Chinatown. I did front desk, I had experience before so it wasn't very difficult at all, also they where very flexible specially on the days off. I recommend to volunteer here if you're around KL

My experience volunteering as an event promoter at the hostel was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was great, the team was very welcoming, and everything was well organized. I really enjoyed interacting with guests and promoting the events, it was fun and dynamic. On top of that, the food at the hostel was delicious, which made the experience even better. I'm very grateful for this opportunity and would definitely recommend the hostel as a wonderful place to volunteer.

A complete nightmare. The owner ignored the 5-hour agreement, literally saying “I don't work with schedules or clocks.” He pushed us into housekeeping — not in the Worldpackers deal — and discriminated against us while others were exempt. When we complained, he used my son's age as an excuse. They knew his age; never said it would be an issue. A French volunteer who joined later also confirmed the discrimination. No training, no organization, tasks changed daily. I never visited Batu Caves — the main reason I applied. Filed a complaint with Worldpackers and left early. Do NOT recommend.

Giovanna created conflicts with our Staffs and used the Hostel Owner's name everytime she wanted her way with them. She created distrusts with our bar partners in the Bar Crawl by making false accusations regarding the free shots. Our guests complianed about her aggressive methods to get them to sign up for our events. She made up her own hours of working by including time spent talking to Guests or with the Hostel Owner, even when she was being treated to food and drinks it was included.

I had a good time volunteering at the hostel. I really liked the staff and the getting to meet so many new people! It was a bit difficult to build a routine at first, but after some time I got the hang of things. The actual job is pretty easy and requires a lot of socializing.
