Program Details
Our volunteer program is simple, relaxed, and low-pressure — but it requires responsibility and initiative.
We are a small 14-bed, alternative hostel with a shared-flat vibe — nothing fancy, but very homey, social, and friendly (not a party hostel).
Most days are quiet and not physically demanding — but we need someone who:
▪️ takes initiative without being told every step
▪️is comfortable talking to guests
▪️ can ask for payments confidently
can handle small situations calmly (noise, behavior, etc.)
This role is not for passive personalities — we need someone friendly, but confident and reliable, who helps maintain a good atmosphere.
Since you also live in the hostel, we expect basic awareness in the evenings — helping keep things relaxed, social, and respectful for everyone.
We keep things flexible, and once the main work is done, your time is yours to enjoy Belgrade, rest, or socialize.
Activities & Shift
Activities & shifts
Daily tasks include:
▪️ Cleaning rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
▪️ Making beds and preparing dorms
▪️ Laundry
▪️ Welcoming guests and simple check-ins/check-outs
▪️ Collecting payments when needed
▪️ Keeping the atmosphere calm, respectful, and social
Schedule:
🕙 10:00–14:00 (main working hours)
This is when most work happens.
After 14:00:
You are generally free
Occasionally, if you are already in the hostel, you may help with a check-in or collect a payment.
We won’t ask you to come in just for that.
Evening / living responsibility
Since you live in the hostel, basic awareness is expected:
▪️ After 22:00–23:00 → keep things quiet
▪️ If guests are too loud → ask them to lower noise, move inside, or go out
▪️ No balcony gatherings late at night
▪️ Help keep the space comfortable for everyone
This is not “work hours” — just part of sharing the space responsibly.
Who we are looking for
▪️ Friendly and social, but with clear boundaries
▪️ Independent and proactive
▪️ Comfortable speaking to guests (including about payments or noise)
▪️ Not a heavy party person
▪️ Someone who helps maintain a calm and pleasant atmosphere
Who this is NOT for
▪️ People looking for a party hostel
▪️ People who avoid responsibility or difficult conversations
▪️ People who need constant instructions
Rules
Rules
We keep rules simple, but these are important:
▪️ We are a social but not party hostel — keep noise respectful, especially at night (after 22:00–23:00).
▪️ No illegal substances, including weed (not because we care personally, but neighbors and police do).
▪️ Be respectful to guests, housemates, and neighbors.
▪️ Keep shared spaces clean after you use them.
▪️ If someone is being too loud or disruptive, step in and handle it calmly.
👉 The vibe of the house matters more than anything — we keep things friendly, relaxed, and respectful.
