We are offering you an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a hostel in a cool environment and you will have the chance to do now one of the most beatiful town in Portugal and also deal with local people.

Our hostel is a brand new surf hostel located in Peniche famous for the amazing surf area, just 1h from Lisbon. We open our doors in 2019 and is the 6 hostel of our group. Just in the city center. Its also close in walking distance to supermarket, city center, bars, restaurants...and of course surf spots.

We are a friendly and young team with different backgrounds. We love to learn new things and we also hope that you learn something while you are here.

This was my first volunteering experience and it couldn't be more fantastic! The entire team is amazing and living in Peniche is more than incredible. The hostel is 10 min walking from the beach, I was able to learn how to surf, to ride bikes and was also able to connect w many international travelers. The vibe is more chilling like and we(the volunteers team) were always planning things to do together. Home away from home ❤️

I enjoyed my time in Peniche. The hostel is really cool, the staff and other volunteers were great. Doing night shift was extremely easy and chill with just a couple of simple tasks needed to be done. The beach, the shops being less than 10 minutes away is very convenient.

I feel so happy for this experience, also so sad because of leaving, but full of gratitude and love. Théo is the best boss, he’s always there to help us and he’s really close and funny. He makes you feel at home. The hostel is super cool and has a really cool vibe, and the city is relaxing and has a lot of beautiful nature. Thank you WOT Peniche, Theo and all the other workers and volunteers, this was a wonderful experience for me. I recommend it 100%! <3

I had really high expectations for this experience but WOT exceeded them all. The hostel is spacious and cozy, the dorm is comfortable, breakfast is tasty and the kitchen is really nice to cook in. Shifts and tasks are communicated and taught well and respected. You can explore Peniche or other cities on your days off. The only improvement that could be done is the surf equipment provided to volunteers, but the guys at the surf school are very friendly and you can join classes for free. Overall I had a great stay, thank you Théo & Bruno and all the staff & volunteers, can’t wait to come back!
