You should choose it because we a German couple around 60 and we live on the beautiful Azores island of Pico on an idylic property in the middle of the vinyards outside of Madalena. We run U7a small food truck with street food of a special kind, If you want to be a part of this project then younare welcome.

We treat volunteers with respect and kindness and are always ready to solve problems or disagreements. Honesty is very important to us because it is the only way to create a trustworthy basis for good social interaction. Appreciation as well as mindfulness towards humans, animals and nature is of great importance to us. A positive attitude on your part would be desirable

I was pleasantly surprised and totally grateful after this experience. Susanne and Robert were very clear with the tasks from the beginning, they assign you a comfortable and clean outside room/cabin, they expect you to do your best in the work schedules as it is their main source of income and they take care to give 100% so that the food, client and volunteer experience is 5 star.
They give good recommendations for tours and visits. The food at home and U7 is VERY tasty, the atmosphere at home is very calm and the distances by bike are not long.
It is such a lovely place to stay and work :)

My experience here has been so beautiful and I cannot thank Robert and Susanne enough for this!!They will make you feel at home and take care of you as you are their own family. The people you will meet through working here will always be a friendly faces and also help you out should you need anything. Pico itself is a beautiful island and a wonderful place to reconnect with nature !! So work hard and then relax and enjoy every minute for you will have such a good time it will go so fast 🤗🤗🤗

Susanne and Robert are an amazing couple, and this is a truly volunteer. You will receive the best food of your life, and be addicted to the food truck food also haha the house is amazing and you can sleep with the bird’s songs, take a shower outside and live in paradise of pico. I highly recommend this position!! 🤍

This was the first experience I had with worldpackers and I feel very grateful to have started here. For a month I felt like I had an absurd quality of life. Robert and Susanne provide the three main pillars for the well-being of volunteers and with great quality: good sleep; healthy and delicious food; socialization and cultural exchange. They give us a private space with a lot of comfort where you just heard the sounds of the nature. Lunches are at work and dinners are at their home and are always healthy surprise. Robert and Susanne are really friendly and easy to have a good relation :)

Working at U7 and living at Robert + Susanne’s has been very special. I struggled to find some rhythm at work initially, maybe 3-4 days. But then I really enjoyed it and that made it even more rewarding, especially once I started to get to know the hosts, locals, the regular customers, and also travelers from all over the world. The accommodation is actually nicer than described, clean and comfortable. The hosts cook up superb german meals for dinner, and everyone eats together while sharing stories and learning about each other lives. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone! Love
