I had an amazing time in Newport! From the team to the locals, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The work, mainly at the pub, was very diverse, and where possible, shift preferences were respected, allowing me to fill my time with plenty of explorations. It's definitely advantageous to travel by car if possible, but many trips are also accessible by public transportation. If you're spontaneous and enjoy spending time in nature with exciting people, then this is the place to be!

I really liked the people, the work, the accommodation and food. The local people are very kind and respectful, but the city is very small, so whoever comes needs to know that there is not much to see. It's a challenge on days off to do something to have fun. Other than that, everything went as planned.

My stay was good! The staff are really nice and kind. There’s loads to do in the area by bus. The work is fair for the exchange and overtime sometimes happens but you are accommodated for it!! I recommend :))

Overall my experience was pleasant, work was straightforward and working hours were always respected. The surrounding area was beautiful and public transportation is convenient for exploring nearby areas!

An overall positive experience at the Bridge inn. Newport is a beautiful town and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Would have loved a bit more training at the beginning rather than being thrown straight in however this is a good challenge in being a fast learner. A good thing to note, if wanting to do extra travel on days off, the buses are reliable but only come a few times a day so careful planning is required I got stranded in the near by towns a few times!
But overall was a great experience working with the staff and other volunteers from around the world!
