If you're travelling and if you're looking for a fun and quirky place to help out, this is it! We're a small hostel, on the outskirts of the city Groningen. We're very DIY and we're trying to maintain a garden as well. We can surely use help with this! Our place is always evolving, we're never not building new cool things. We love to organize events such as live music, painting workshops, BBQ's and more for our hostel guests and everyone else in Groningen. This year we're managing a camper parking spot in the area as well. Pretty diverse.
Anika and Anna are the owners of the hostel. During the summer Susy from Finland will also be part of the staff. So you'll be joining a very small team that can work hard and have some fun along the way. We usually work with 2 or 3 volunteers at the time. Volunteers will be staying in a shared volunteers dorm room and sharing the bathroom facilities with the other guests.

It was mad fun to stay here. You can party any day in Groningen and meeting locals is rather effortless.
The hostel is more like a place to chill at after partying all night with its beach vibes (including hammocks, kayaks and almost a palm tree).
The staff is the typical Dutch bunch super nice and welcoming. They helped me improve my Dutch and we had lots of lekkere lunches together (ask for the rhubarb crumble). 10/10

This was my first experience with worldpackers and honestly it was mind blowing !! Anna and Anika were so kind, caring and helpful since the very beginning + the volunteers were also very welcoming and friendly that I automatically felt like home!❤️ the city itself is such a gorgeous and peaceful to live in and the hostel has a unique spark that i’ve never seen anywhere else! The work was more than fair and Anna & Anika are very flexible with it as well. I wish i could have stayed longer but I’m definitely coming back to Groni soon!! ❤️🩹 lots of love to Anna, Anika, Ylva and Martina!!

My time at Rebel rebel has been amazing! Anna, Anika, Martine & Ylva are all so so sweet and welcoming, and it has been so fun meeting all of the different people staying at the hostel!
Groningen is so cozy and the parks are so nice, everything has been perfect and I’m so sad that I have to leave:(
This was my first worldpacker trip and I would definitely recommend this place!

I had an amazing experience at Rebel Rebel! The staff is so welcoming and hospitable. The work hours are nice and you get a bike to explore the town. Would love to come back in the summer sometime to enjoy the beach 💗 Loved this experience.
