We are a small, cozy and friendly hostel in the center of Palermo.
A great city full of culture, architecture, good food and night life.
Sorrounding us, you will find plenty of Amazing Scicilian cities to visit, temples, beaches, smooth weather almost all year long and interesting people.
We love to share our culture and way of life, and thats why everyone that comes to Sunshine Hostel feels like at home.

I am Francesco a real Palermitano, but I have travel and lived abroad. Family guy, that likes to make my hosts and volunteers welcome and at home. You will experienced a nice, calm and friendly atmosphera. I am very Flexible and talkative person, I like to shared meals, and experiences from people over the world.

I had a great time in Palermo! The other Volunteers were very very nice and welcoming. To be honest I didn’t see francesco as much as I expected and quickly realized that this Hostel is mostly run by us Volunteers. Despite that, I had a great time and met lots of very interesting people from all over the world.
I would recommend this hostel if you are looking for a great experience in a city! Palermo is a wonderful city with a beautiful old town and also beautiful nature around. I am very glad to have chosen this as my first destination with Worldpackers.

Mi estadía en Sunshine Hostel fue muy positiva. Los horarios son flexibles y la ubicación muy buena, lo que permite tener tiempo para conocer la ciudad y sus alrededores.
Las tareas a realizar son simples, los huéspedes son muy relajados y hay un muy lindo ambiente.
Las instalaciones no son las mejores, hay mucho que mejorar. La comida no es suficiente y no hay horno, solo una electric stove que no es suficiente si hay mucha gente intentando cocinar al mismo tiempo.
La convivencia con los otros voluntarios fue excelente y muy fácil de llevar.

Realizar voluntariados en temporada baja tiene sus pros y sus contras. La parte de socialización con los huéspedes queda en un segundo plano ya que no hay tanta demanda de hospedaje, dando lugar a poder conocer gente local. A su vez, la tareas en el hostel son super tranquilas. Como en todos lados, es importante la organización y buena comunicación entre los voluntarios para mantener una buena convivencia. Se han respetado los acuerdos de horarios y trabajo. Sin dudas volvería!

Was a good experience, there’s a lot of flexibilty but you need to be committed and organized to make it work, the other volunteers were like a family to me so that was the best part. Thanks Francesco!

Buena experiencia, pude conocer la ciudad de Palermo y practicar Italiano, las reglas de lo que hay que hacer están en el computador y hay flexibilidad de horario, el hostal es pequeño asi que lo que hay que limpiar y ordenar no es muy pesado.
