We are a small, cozy and friendly hostel in the center of Palermo.
A great city full of culture, architecture, good food and night life.
Sorrounding us, you will find plenty of Amazing Scicilian cities to visit, temples, beaches, smooth weather almost all year long and interesting people.
We love to share our culture and way of life, and thats why everyone that comes to Sunshine Hostel feels like at home.

I am Francesco a real Palermitano, but I have travel and lived abroad. Family guy, that likes to make my hosts and volunteers welcome and at home. You will experienced a nice, calm and friendly atmosphera. I am very Flexible and talkative person, I like to shared meals, and experiences from people over the world.

Sunrise Hostel has truly become a home for me. Sofi, the manager, is incredibly welcoming, flexible, and supportive, making you feel valued. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers—special thanks to Elise, Pamela and Jess for making this experience unforgettable. The workload is light, giving you plenty of free time, so your experience here will largely depend on your attitude. Make the most of it by relaxing on the rooftop at night, exploring the stunning beaches of Mondello or Vergine Maria, and indulging in the local food. And don't miss out on the vibrant nightlife!

I enjoyed my experience here at sunrise hostel! The work is super easy & the shifts are shared around evenly so it gives you lots of free time to explore or chill out. The hostel isn’t the newest so the facilities were a little run down but apart from that everything was fine. You also get to share this experience with many other volunteers which is a great chance to meet other people from around the world. The manager Sofi is also super lovely & helpful for any needs you have.

Fue una muy linda experiencia y el equipo de trabajo también🤍 Recomiendo la experiencia, si bien las instalaciones no son las mejores, hay de todo lo necesario y siempre hay disposición a mejorarlo por parte de Sofi en caso de que falte algo. Palermo tiene un encanto único, así que lo recomiendo 100%

I had the best time at Sunshine. Somehow the planets align there. It’s not the most beautiful or comfortable place you’ll experience but honestly it is what makes it so special.
Everyday was an adventure, the team was incredible and the people too.
It’s very well situated in Palermo and it makes it easy to walk around or go out.
Since the boss have several other places to take care of you won’t see him a lot and you’ll have to take care of this place with your own professional conscience. Sofie the manager comes on a daily to make sure everything is ok, she’s the best and the sweetest.

Sunshine hostel is definitely rough around the edges! The facilities were very basic and often broken and there’s no real training for volunteers. There were also a few concerns around safety and security. However, the people I met here are like family to me now. The time I got to spend with the other volunteers and some of the guests was the best of my life, and the manager Sofi works really hard to make you feel welcome and comfortable as much as she can. The work is incredibly easy and your shifts are pretty much completely flexible/in your control, which allowed loads of time to explore!
