We provide a valuable experience, support you with training, help you with your language skills (if necessary) and reward your contribution by looking after you well! If you are looking for a great experience, that will be useful to your career and language skills, then please apply to us - but please remember that we are a small hotel and not a party hostel - and you must have the right documentation to work in the UK. Matthew and David have owned Escape Yachting for 15 years and the Thatched Cottage Hotel for 8 years. We are passionate hosts, who enjoy looking after our guests and working with enthusiastic staff and volunteers who show enthusiasm and commitment. In return, we provide everything you need during your time with us and ensure that you have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience, with many happy memories!

I have had an amazing experience where I have met some wonderful people. The staff members make you feel very comfortable from the beginning. Brockenhurst is a beautiful village that is very well connected to other locations and is an ideal place to learn or practice English. I would highly recommend this volunteer placement and would come back again!

My experience at the Thached Hotel has great. The work was not hard, and the hours were respected. They are also very accommodating and flexible.the hosts were nice and social. The village was small and quiet, good for a getaway from big city hubbub. And it's very easy to get to the bigger, more populated cities by train. So there is something for everyone.
In the end, I recommend this hotel as a place to do a workaway in.

A experiência no Thatched foi incrível. A estrutura do hotel é muito boa para os voluntários - limpo, organizado, boa cama, boas toalhas. A comida é feita pelos próprios voluntários e o valor dado para comprar comida é suficiente. Roxxane e Huw são os gerentes e são pessoas incríveis. Eles são super jovens e não te deixam com dúvidas. Paul é a definição do gentleman britânico. Todo o staff (Holly, Beth e Ebony) é muito amável e te deixam muito à vontade. Eu recomendo DEMAIS! Espero voltar para visitar outras vezes! 🧡

The team welcomed me very well, they are fun! The tasks are cleaning and sometimes helping in the kitchen, the room was quite small as was the bathroom for volunteers. There is no living space to share with volunteers, it would be good to have it! I think the budget for food is quite limited but you can access some groceries from the kitchen. It was a comfortable experience.
