We are a team of international staff working in a guesthouse in the middle of Naha, Okinawa. Work will be 3-4 hours a day / 5 days a week in exchange for a bed in our dormitory. You are mostly expected to help with the cleaning, but you are more than welcome to chat with other guests and make new friends (: Please note that a Tourist visa will not allow to work legally in Japan, you will need a Working Holiday, Working visa or a Student visa!

Great time at the hostel. You will meet lots of people and experience Okinawan culture in the heart of the city. Work is easy when there is enough volunteers and north part of Okinawa has the most incredible beaches and snorkelling. Would recommend

I stayed at the hostel for one month and was immediately welcomed, by both the staff and backpackers working there. It was an amazing time. Hours were perfect and the work was made easier by the team support. If I could've stayed longer I definitely would have!

Absolutely fantastic! I loved it at the hostel. It felt like a home away from home and a little family. Everyone would worked together to get the work done and then would either hangout or chill. There were car trips, beach days, cooking/family dinners, karaoke nights and even a baseball game night. Everyone was so welcoming and amazing. I can't thank the team there enough for such a lovely time. They were so supportive and helpful and helped me more times than I can count. I wish I could have stayed longer. I hope I can see everyone from the hostel again someday

The hostel it's always the best option to go, here in Naha you can really enjoy the beaches and going snorkling here is just amazing, can't miss it! The volunteer was easy going and the place is nice, the common area is japanese style and you can enjoy your time with the other volunteers. If you want a more relaz and chill time, this is your place! Thank you for having me, hope to see you again!

The hostel is a great place to be based! It is very close to everything, including restaurants, convenience stores, and local transport. I got to explore a lot of the island without having to spend a night elsewhere. (You probably will need to rent a car to achieve this but there's a cheap place very close to the sharehouse) The staff are super nice and willing to help if you're struggling to use Japanese services like Yamato etc. The work is easy, very basic and never takes longer than 3 hours. Overall it is a great place to volunteer at! Deffo worth a visit if you want to go to Okinawa.
