This was my first worldpackers experience and I am so so glad it was here at the hostel. From the day I arrived, I felt so welcome amongst the other volunteers and quickly felt like I made the right decision coming here. Throughout my few weeks here, the other volunteers were amazing and made my experience so special. The work itself is very fair and I had lots of fun meeting so many guests from all over the world. I mostly ended up doing reception and some housekeeping, I'm very grateful for what I learned here in terms of running a hostel and working with customers.

With such an amazing team and host, this is an experience I would recommend to anyone. The nightshift can be long, but rarely are there issues during the night.

Foi minha segunda experiencia como Worldpacker e foi simplesmente sensacional, a Rebecca e o João, os proprietarios são educados, bondosos, atenciosos e fazem de tudo para nos ajudar. A Gerente Ana e os funcionarios do Hostel também sao excelentes, as jornadas de voluntariado sao flexíveis e adaptaveis. Eu consegui um bom emprego em Portugal durante o voluntariado e eles aceitaram minha saída tranquilamente e com muita empatia. Virei cliente e recomendo o Chill Out Hostels !!!

Eu fui aceita para trabalhar no hostel de 17/10/22 até 15/01/23. No dia 27/10/22, já a tarde, me avisaram que eu tinha uma semana pra sair porque “teve de ser assim”, “vão chegar mais pessoas e portanto tivemos de fazer uma escolha e foi você”, ou seja, nada concreto. Assim, de surpresa. Assim sendo, fiquei apenas duas semanas. A equipe era agradável e explicava tudo direito, mas a gerência do hostel deixou a desejar. Eu cumpri com toda a minha parte. O horário de trabalho foi respeitado e o trabalho era fácil de aprender.

Unfortunately Tamar was a COMPLETELY different person then portrayed in her profile. The team had some difficulty, very introvert, not expansive in any way. Lack of social skills. Am sure Tamar is a great person, but is not the person in the profile photo neither in the profile explanation. We had a lot of difficulty integrating her in the team and had to make the choice to terminate the volunteer placement early. We gave her time to find an alternative.

I had such a great time working there! The hostel is very cozy and perfect if you want to meet international travelers. The staff was also incredibly nice, and it is easy to feel at home :)
