Yungaburra is such a peaceful town filled with beautiful nature spots and kind locals. Highly recommend visiting Yungaburra and staying with Gina. Gina was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. She was so kind to drive us to the nearby waterfalls and attractions on our days off. The work is very fair and the schedule is flexible. As long as you work hard and show that you are there to help, you will have an amazing time!

Yungaburra is a small town full of life! Gina is deeply passionate about her historic town. There are beautiful sites that are great for exploring. She was flexible with our schedules and provided above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. That being said, plan to work hard to earn her trust. We had many long days and conversations to ensure we were meeting her expectations. We mostly completed outdoor work or painting when the weather was agreeable. Gina is the heart of Yungaburra and it would be a shame to miss an opportunity see what this place has to offer.

I loved my stay in Yungabarra! Gina was very welcoming and ensured I had everything I could need for a lovely stay.
The tasks varied so for example, it was sunny when I was there so I mostly painted outdoors. The hours are fair and flexible if you end up doing more on one day. Gina is quite particular - so be prepared to work hard.
The community in Yungabarra is amazing and I was even invited to a family party when I was there! I had plenty to do in the area on my time off, and Carolina and Gina were happy to drive me when it suited.

Had the best time with Gina and Carolina. Gina would arrange the tasks and made sure my stay is comfortable. She is knowledgeable about her plants. I did weeding, sanding and painting.
Yungaburra is a small pretty town with attractions nearby. The locals are friendly. Definitely a good place to volunteer.

We really enjoyed our time with Gina, in Yungaburra. The property is in a great location in the centre of a charming historic village. Surrounded by beautiful waterfalls & lakes, it was easy to explore the area during time off.
Gina was friendly, enthusiastic, & very hands on in her approach to the work. Her communication style was quite direct, she was very particular about how she wanted tasks to be completed, we felt like we had to earn her trust before we could work more independently. That said, she was really appreciative of the work we did & allowed for flexibility in our schedule. :)

The place was absolutely lovely. The private room is a blessing, spacious and calm. Gina adapted to what I loved for the tasks so it was well appreciated. If you get the chance to meet Paul, the gardener, he'll have amazing travels stories to tell, and I could listen to him talking for hours. The nature around is beautiful, there are many walks to do. I also was really grateful that Gina considered my diet, and accept to buy food that sticks with my values, which is really important to me. To sum up, it's a place where you feel safe, and it's very cute. Thanks to Cecilia who was the kindest !

Even tho I was only there for less than 3 days I really had a great time. Gina is a really lovely and fair host! Her reception Cecilia ist really lovely as well. Even being there for just a really short time I already felt really comfortable and Gina even made it possible to show me as much as possible of Yungaburras beautiful surroundings, wildlife and nature in the short time of my stay. Definitely recommend coming here for a longer time and I'd love to come back at some point in the future:))

Staying and working with Gina has been one of the most meaningful experiences we've ever had. From the first moment, she welcomed us not just as volunteers, but as people. Her kindness is genuine and constant. With her, it was never just about tasks. She showed us incredible places and helped us discover the true soul of Yungaburra. We didn't just stay here, we truly lived it and felt part of the community. We fell in love with this town and decided to stay longer. This was not just an exchange, but a real immersion and a beautiful human connection. Thank you, Gina, for everything. 💛

The Tablelands are the most beautiful place I've seen on my travels so far with so many amazing things to do. My stay with Gina was so wonderful! Comfortable room, great company, and fun activities! We went to the local dairy farm for an afternoon of cheese tasting and chocolates and I was able to see the waterfalls and explore town on my day off. Gina and Cecelia are so welcoming and kind!
