Our stay at Kangaroo Creek was amazing! Although we didn't spend much time with Jacqui, she always made sure we had everything we needed.
We stayed with her neighbour, Joan, and her family, and it couldn't have been better. We had our own room with an ensuite, cooked dinner together every night, helped build a chicken coop, cared for her granddaughter, and I even got to ride her horses a few times. We felt like part of the family and would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Kangaroo Creek was lovely. We spent our time helping Jacqui – coming up with ideas for her tiny house – and helping Jo look after her daughter Riley, as well as helping with the renovation of a chicken coop and around the house. We stayed with them at their house. They were very kind to us and it was a lovely experience. They have a huge property where you can go for walks and enjoy the valley. It was great fun playing with Riley. We would have loved to stay longer and help Jacqui with the renovation of the railway carriage.

Had an amazing stay at Nymboida. Work hours are fair and very rewarding, suited to your skill level. Food is healthy, fresh, and delicious. Jacqui is a great host: kind, considerate, and always striving to ensure a volunteer feels safe and welcomed. Communication was easy and straightforward — we've had wonderful conversations while staying productive with work tasks. What's more, I learned a lot about carpentry, and Jacqui taught me useful skills that will be handy in my future work. Would totally recommend this experience to anyone looking to reconnect with nature and make local impact !
