The volunteer room became like a family home and all of us bonded straight away. The workers are so considerate, and really take pride in the atmosphere and well being of the volunteers. Also they are happy to answer questions or explain tasks whenever, which really made it feel safe to come to them. The work was easy to handle, and the different kinds of shifts were easy to tell apart and undertake once you got a hang of the specific tasks for each kind of shift. The best thing about the hostel in Rome, is that the volunteers and the staff look out for each other🫶 Im excited to go back❤️

I absolutely loved my time in Rome and felt at home in the hostel after just a short time! This was mainly because of the amazing hostel staff. Every single person was incredibly kind, which also made work feel so easy and enjoyable. You could always ask questions and the agreed working hours were respected. Breakfast was provided and we always had everything we needed to cook. The hostel has the best vibe I've ever experienced! I met the coolest people and never really wanted to miss out on the evening activities, even on my days off. I'd recommend this place from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you for this amazing experience 🫶🏼 It was my first time working in a hostel and I couldn't ask for a better place. The staff is so lovely and welcoming and I felt home from the second I entered the place. The work was super doable and varied: Cleaning and organising the common areas, helping the staff at the bar, smaller housekeeping tasks, interacting with the guests, organising family dinner and social events, … And there is enough time to enjoy the city. I wish I could have stayed longer and would love to come back. I found amazing friends from both staff & guests, will miss you all!

My experience at the hostel was very positive. I loved the social, international atmosphere and the walking tours were a great way to see the city. The location is convenient and the volunteer perks (private bathroom, breakfast, Wi-Fi) were great. Like anywhere, there's room to grow, mostly around team communication and the occasional last-minute changes, but nothing that took away from the experience. The main practical issue was the AC being broken for most of my stay, which was tough in summer. Overall a great experience and I'd recommend it

I had a great month at the hostel :) I met so many cool people and fell in love with the city! Rome was my first solo travel experience and I would recommend it to everyone! The workload was fine and hours were respected. The dorm isnt huge, but completely okay. I really liked the common areas in the hostel. Feel free to text me if you have any questions<3

My experience at obr was incredible!! everyone on the staff is so kind, the hostel is super beautiful, and the work is easy and fun. i met so many people from all around the world, and the group of volunteers i stayed with was the best!! i 100% recommend this place. i'm leaving with so many amazing memories :)
