Jo and Jai are such kind and loving people; they make you feel right at home. Your main responsibilities involve taking care of the animals in the morning and late afternoon, but you’ll also get to try your hand at chopping logs and trees and driving the lawn mower or the buggy. Since I can't get around on my own, Jo and Jai are always willing to take you to nearby towns to explore the beaches whenever they can, but for me, it was also nice to enjoy the farm and go on long walks with the family dogs (I miss them). Thank you for these wonderful weeks!

My time at the farm was amazing! Jo and Jai are very welcoming and accommodating. The work and time spent with animals was very fulfilling, there was also lots of time during the experience to explore the nearby sights and Jo and Jai even took the time to show me many different spots :) I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals and is looking to experience Aussie farm life

Jo and Jai were so obliging from the get go, and are very welcoming and highly knowledgable in their field. I've learnt a vast amount in my short time with them in terms of substainabilty, the animals, culture, Aus in general and much more. They made my whole experience enjoyable and fulfilling. Exploring local areas and getting to know and learn about all the animals and their little quirks was amazing. Heartwarming to see how well they're taken care of. I'll miss all of the animals, especially my shadow, Bindi, and of course the fabulous Fernando! Forever grateful for the opportunity. ❣️

This was truly an amazing experience and I cannot recommend the farm enough! From the moment I arrived, I was accommodated with warmth and friendliness. Jo is an incredible host and would do everything to ensure the volunteers felt welcomed and looked after. The farm work was some of the most fulfilling volunteering I have experienced and looking after their variety of farm animals was truly lovely. During periods were no work was needed, we had the joy of exploring the surrounding areas with some days being spent at the beach! Incredible!

My experience at the farm was one of those that I'll never forget. Jia & Jo gives you so much, and in exchange, they're only looking for you to have a great time! Everyday was different from one another, I got to learn so much about having my own farm. The tasks are mostly about taking care of everyone: taking out the goats, picking up the eggs, feeding the horses and taking the donkeys to the paddocks. All of it doesn't feel like work, it's such a nice environment with great energy, that you'll find yourself willing to pick up horse manure first thing in the morning.

I had a great time volunteering at the farmstay and would highly recommend it ! The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the host made us feel very welcomed . We would usually discuss the next day’s tasks over tea (dinner). Tasks included walking the animals to the paddock, doing a poo pick up, cleaning their stables and feeding the animals. The tasks were very minimal and we had lots of time to explore the property and spend time with the animals. Additionally, Jo often brought us out to explore nearby coastal towns and the town centre. We also experienced a cookout under the stars !

Staying at the farm was a very very nice experience! Jo and Jai are very genuine people that really want to help you enjoy your stay in the best way possible. There are many opportunities while staying here. ALL the animals are treated with a lot of passion and care and that is reflected in their behaviour towards people. It was a lot of fun and I really hope to come back someday!

My time at Jo's was amazing. It was like living my childhood dream. Jo and Jai were amazing hosts and were always willing to help out and answer questions. Never had a host like Jo who was so eager to show her volunteers around and let us go to neighbouring towns to explore for the day. Jo always made sure we were well fed and comfortable. This is an amazing experience and I'd recommend it to anyone! Thank you Jo and Jai!

We were there for 2,5 weeks and we did not want to leave. It was truly an amazing and wholesome experience.
Jo and Jai are both really amazing people and did their best so we would feel comfortable and welcome.
Working on the land and with the animals was so much fun and we learned a lot.
If we wanted to go somewhere, if it was the beach or a city, they did their best so we could get there.
The food they provided was also really good and the accommodation was really homy.
All in all we have no complaints whatsoever.
It was a great experience and we would come again and again.

If you like being around animals, this is the place to be ❤️ I absolutely fell in love with the donkeys! Jo & Jai are lovely, very welcoming and really made my stay as good as it can! There is own bedroom(s) and chilling room with fridge for volunteer(s). The chores with animals were fun to do. Views from the property are so beautiful. They also took me to some beautiful beaches and asked what i wished for. Lovely place, wish I would've stayed longer!
