This is a calm, tidy apartment shared with one person and one very calm cat. It runs at a slow pace — no rush, no chaos. You'll have your own sleeping alcove. Bedding, towels, and cleaning supplies are all provided.
I speak both Mandarin and English at home, so if you're curious about Chinese language or culture, this is a natural environment to learn. I won't force anything, but I'm happy to share — food, language, daily habits, whatever interests you.
Depending on your interests and pace, there may be space to work on real projects alongside daily tasks — no pressure, but the opportunity is there:
Chinese culture — daily immersion, home-cooked food, conversation at your level
Home organisation & systems — build routines, test what works, practical life skills
Digital & computer skills — real tasks, not busy work; you'll learn by doing
Cooking Chinese food — learn recipes, market sourcing, seasonal ingredients
Who fits here:
You're someone who doesn't need a lot of external stimulation to feel good. You can get yourself started in the morning. You're tidy by default. You're curious about a different culture. You can do what's needed without needing every task explained twice. You're comfortable around a cat.
This isn't a social house. We won't be together constantly, and that's the point. Days off are yours. The beach is about ten minutes away. There’s also a free running path, as well as tennis and basketball courts nearby. In summer, the area becomes more lively, with small food stalls and occasional music events — but you can choose how much you want to engage with that.
