The Golden Garden Hostel Volunteer Program is a cultural exchange, learning and community living experience in a warm and multicultural environment in Ubatuba, São Paulo (SP). Since 2023, we have welcomed volunteers from around the world who wish to contribute to caring for the space while experiencing the routine of a hostel that serves as a small base where the world comes together.
The volunteer program goes beyond tasks. You will become part of the team, learn by doing, live with different cultures, languages and lifestyles, and experience Ubatuba more deeply. We seek responsible, autonomous, organized, respectful and open-to-learning people who take care of the space as if it were your own home.
In return, we offer accommodation, language classes, surf lessons, boards, partnerships with tours, local discounts and a safe, humane and collaborative environment where respect is essential and exchange is real.
The activities are focused on cleaning and housekeeping, ensuring clean, organized and pleasant environments for guests and staff. The tasks include:
• Cleaning and organizing bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas
• Changing and organizing bed linens when necessary
• Kitchen organization and support in maintaining the space
• Restocking basic items and care for the details of the environment
We are looking for people with a team spirit, but who can perform tasks autonomously and know how to set priorities.
Most shifts are individual, and our tasks are listed by time slots, with the weekly schedule prepared according to the hostel's demand.
Shifts last 5 or 6 hours and are confirmed in advance, organized and sent in the full weekly schedule each week. Punctuality, attention to detail and care for the space are essential.
