I had a wonderful time during my work exchange. The family is warm, helpful, and very understanding. They were patient whenever I struggled to follow or understand something in spanish, which I really appreciated. The work was also nicely adapted to my physical abilities. The surroundings are beautiful, and its a great place to reconnect with nature. I tried new fruits, foods, learned about some medicinal plants, and got an insight into a way of living and perspective on life that was new to me. Super interesting! It's also a great place to slow down, think and reflect.

A beautiful experience. Catalina and her wonderful family welcomed me with a lot of affection. The reservation is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life, with the beach and the river just a one-minute walk away. I slept in a very comfortable tent and had access to all the infrastructure. I could participate in sacred rituals and visit a Kogui community 💙 Catalina's work creating bridges with the region's indigenous communities is admirable and deserves all recognition. The girls were a fundamental and very special part of this experience. I only have recommendations! Thank you very much.

My experience at the Jaguar Bird Reserve was much more than volunteering; it was an immersion in a living territory. The rhythm of nature, family, and place invites you to slow down and to get involved for real. The daily tasks, which consist of acts of conscious observation, such as caring for the plants, animals and shared spaces, become part of a deeper learning. The most valuable thing is all the knowledge that dwells here. You learn through experience, listening and the direct connection between the territory and the people. There is authentic depth

A place of great peace, a connection with nature and an energy of love that you can feel in every detail. I was warmly welcomed by everyone, which made the experience even more special. The children are wonderful and I will treasure these memories with a lot of love in my heart.

The work of gathering flowers was light and meditative, bringing me a beautiful connection with nature. I leave here with great gratitude for everything I lived through. It was an experience that transformed me in a very subtle and true way. I just have to thank you for this opportunity

It's a unique experience that changes your life. I learned a lot about sustainability, I connected with nature, with ancestral cultures and the knowledge they have about the territory. Agustín and cata are incredible people who made me feel like another member of their family; living with their beautiful daughters and the other children of the community was the most beautiful thing, and I will carry them in my heart forever. I would return to visit them always. Paying from the heart changes your life ❤️‍🩹. Thank you for this opportunity to live a magical experience

The the reserve the reserve is a wonderful place where you will have the most epic view of your life to sleep and the sound of the sea that no hotel could buy. The place is quite rustic but with what is necessary for day-to-day life, the sea and the beach just steps away. Keep in mind to bring insect repellent because it can be torture even if you have mosquito nets; you must have cooking skills because you will practically do it yourself; the diet is 99% vegetarian/vegan. I withdrew early due to problems with internet connection and phone signal since I work remotely and in the the reserve there is no signal.

Thanks, Carol! Yes, the Reserva Pájaro Jaguar is located in a place with no phone signal; however we have satellite internet that works very well. We’re sorry you left early :) very grateful for the days we shared.

It was a beautiful experience, sharing our time with them, the place is spectacular, we were comfortable and they left us to our own devices, the tasks were easy and they adapted them to our physical conditions. It was very interesting for us to see a little of the Cogui customs, without living with them we would never have known. Agustín and Carlos were very patient, always with an answer to our questions, and together with Elena, Cata and the children, we shared good moments and lots of laughter. The only thing left is to organize the meals well. Thank you very much and until next time 😘♥
