I had a great time at the lodge 🌴 Freddy is really a great host, always super kind and attentive to the volunteers needs 🤍 I worked on retouching mural paintings, which was very fun ! I always had the materials I needed and was able to follow my own schedule, which was very pleasant 🎨 the accommodation is also very comfortable and private, which is definitely appreciated :) The only detail I'd bear in mind for future volunteers who want to apply is that there's no shared kitchen, which can be a bit tricky !! Thanks for this great week, 100% recommend it 🤍

You know when people say that this host was the best etc. Well sometimes it's hard to believe those reviews, but I really mean it here! From the first moment I arrived it felt like a second family welcoming me. Freddy and my coworkers would constantly share food/ stories/ their culture with me. I probably tired Freddy with how much stuff I was asking for haha but he always came through. He even took us to Belize on a weekend! For the creative part I really really enjoyed the freedom I had with what I make and the hours as well. The accommodation and the natural beauty was superb as well.

The lodging is an environmentally responsible space, full of art and nature. Freddy is a great host; he explains things to you with patience, helps you and resolves any doubts. Staying at the accommodation was wonderful, although I didn’t stay long; everyone was kind and they supported us with all the questions we had. Freddy is an amazing person and he was always flexible with the painting schedules because of the sun and heat; living with other volunteers was something very beautiful and you always have something to learn from them; without a doubt I would come back again; it was my home away from home 🫶🏼

My first volunteering was a place to get a boost before continuing the adventure! The staff, teammates and locals were super kind to me. I had freedom as a muralist to distribute my hours of work, which requires commitment on your part, but you get flexibility for your day-to-day.
You don't have a kitchen, but it's easy to adapt.
Freddy is a wonderful host; from the first day he took care of showing me the lodging and the surroundings. He was always attentive to resolving my doubts and was understanding of my concerns. I dare say I left with a great friendship. ❤️

The place is truly a paradise. If you want to spend some time almost on the beach, this is the place. My task was in the laundry and it was great to share the work with hotel staff. My companion and I had a small cabin facing the sea. We were given one meal a day, which was very good, but perhaps could be more generous. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen, but they are thinking of making one for volunteers. There are bicycles to use, for shopping and to go for a ride. Apart from those details, the volunteering is perfect. I would definitely return to the paradise that is Mahahual. Thanks Fredi for your kindness

The accommodation is a unique and gorgeous place. Its facilities are excellent and facing one of the best beaches in the Mexican Caribbean. They are gorgeous. I was helping in Laundry and it was great, a lot of learning and an excellent relationship with my colleagues. Alfredo gave us what was necessary for our stay and everything was fulfilled within what was foreseen. The town of Mahahual is very beautiful and the daily cruise ship arrivals make it incredibly interesting. I also spent hours with David in Maintenance, which I loved. A place highly recommended and beautiful. Thanks Fredy and the team!!!
