My stay in Cusco and working at the organization was truly unforgettable! Working with the kids was amazing, they are precious and so kind and truly welcomed me from my first day! We had so much fun together, along with all the amazing other volunteers, and I genuinely looked forward to every day at the school and getting to teach. There are so many amazing things to do in and around Cusco, and Coco and the team were so helpful in organizing those excursions and making sure that I experienced all the wonderful things the region had to offer! I would absolutely recommend!

10/10 experience! Right from the start the hosts made everything super clear and seamless. They were super helpful at organising weekend trips to explore the area and you have plenty of time before teaching to explore Cusco. Don't worry if your Spanish skills are limited- I spoke very little Spanish when I arrived but it was never an issue when interacting with the kids. The kids are so sweet and it is clear the positive impact this programme has on their livelihood. Combined with the great accommodation and welcoming family vibe from the other volunteers, this was an unforgettable trip!

This was my first time doing an NGO and I am so happy I chose Corazón the organization. The people running this project are so kind and the kids will give you so much love. The acommodation is spacious and way more modern than what i've had in other places while volunteering. The work with kids is chill and you have a lot of free time to visit all the archeological and cultural sites around Cusco and of course the nature. Cusco is also such an interesting place to da volunteering I think it's a must! My Spanish got so much better thanks to working with the kids. It's also an amazing internship!

I applied last minute to this work exchange, however the host got back with me immediately and was super helpful with my situation! The host provided great communication and hospitality. I felt welcomed and comfortable during my stay. The work hours were very simple, and it allowed me a great opportunity to interact with the children where we were able to learn from each other and have lots of fun. The other volunteers and I were able to collaborate and work together easily, helping eachother with both English and Spanish. I would definitely recommend contributing to this program!

It was such an amazing experience! The kids are so sweet, and organizers in the project and other volunteers are also really nice and make me feel like home. Cuzco is also an amazing city. I got to see so many beautiful sceneries. Definitely recommend this project.

I had a good time volunteering here. The community has a room with a whiteboard and some resources for the kids, plus you can print out your own materials for them. They love drawing with the crayons and colored pencils provided. The dynamic is simple: we spend the first hour helping them with homework / doing English activities. The kids are lovely, even if they prefer playing over learning sometimes😂 Afterward, we just play games, Legos, ball and supervise them. It's a great place to meet volunteers. This project was my first solo travel experience and it was wonderful! The host housing is great and is a welcoming space. It takes approx. 35 minutes to travel from the home to the school, and 40 minutes to the Cusco city center, but the buses are very cheap. At the project, there are various age groups you can work with. The older groups are more focused on learning English - colors, days of the week, reading a clock, etc. From Monday to Thursday you spend approximately 2hrs with the children and Thursday is the day for cleaning and playing! Weekends are free to explore the beauty of Peru!
